Such a grand venue with sporting significance really created a sense of anticipation and i was not disappointed. My qualifying criteria for a good overnight stay relies heavily on the washroom, the bed and the breakfast. The shower was marvellous with wonderful decor and finishes. I slept much better than i normally do away from my own bed and the dining options for breakfast were plentiful with top notch ingredients used. The staff were very helpful when it came to parking and the only drawback was when i was looking to check out from the top floor, only 1 of the 3 elevators available was in operation.

Excellent hotel 5 Star! A wonderful hotel with everything you need! Staff were all very welcoming and friendly. Great breakfast with plenty of choice. Spa facilities were top notch! Definitely will be returning.

The underground car park was disgusting. Very, very dirty and unpleasant. Unbelievable to ask hotel patrons to pay an extra £20 a night to park there, having paid so much for a room and then to provide a parking area in such a filthy and disgusting state Lifts in the hotel are very poor. Extremely slow and when they came they were often full. Only two of the three lifts were working, but even if all three were working, three lifts are too few for this size hotel. Bathroom facilities were very disappointing. No flannels provided, very, very basic wash items provided, We have had better bathroom facilities in hotels less than half the price of Celtic Manor. The toilet roll dispenser was broken. We were very disappointed with our stay considering the cost and its rating.

check in was quick and easy. Beds really comfortable however even in the newly modernised rooms on the 6th floor rooms are looking tired and in need of updating. We've been coming here for over 20 years and I swear it's exactly the same in the bathrooms and especially the communal areas like the main bars. Siganture lounge is a nice touch though. But they do really need to spend some £££ on this hotel. The lifts are dreadful so guests encouraged to use the stairs which are pretty dreadful- very threadbare and grubby. Golf is great, newly modernised spa for treatments and grill restaurant is always good. But room service was very poor, items that should have already been in the room were missing and it took three calls to room service to sort- in a half hearted way, with incorrect charges being applied that had to be sorted. Such a shame as feels like its no where near as good as it used to be

Hotel was very grand! Breakfast was amazing, spa was great. Only downsides was the we had a broken electrical socket in the room. The hairdryer they supplied wouldn’t turn on. I noticed hair bands left on the chairs in our room by must have been previous stayers. Expected just a little better from a 5 star rated hotel is all

No valet, room service was poor, missed off items and had to be prompted five times before actually arriving. Bed was not made up on arrival, room was not clean. Staff were not pleasant. Pool was overcrowded and dirty. Breakfast was overcrowded.
