What a disaster for our honeymoon! Here are the lowlights - rooms are garbage with furniture stained, sink stained and tap wouldn't work -tub leaked wife almost broke her neck. Also filled with sand from prior guest - plunge pool was warped and overflowing -black mold in lamp -food was awful, we can cook better -workers went on strike for a full day so nothing to eat other then the awful buffet which 100 Of us were lined up like cattle going to the trough to eat -workers pester you to right good reviews so it looks good for them We have all the photos from this so called "luxury" resort.

This is our fourth time to EOB. We love the location of this property and its why return. Unfortunately there are a few negative experiences each time we stay. Staff is hit and miss. Most are very friendly, although some just dont seem to want to be there. Overall we have made some close friends with the staff. The property itself is well maintained. As mentioned before by myself, its the origional build quality thats a huge miss. Finer details like the cheap workmanship of the decking, pools, and building construction. It makes one wonder of the structures stability as a whole. Also, every year we visit, we find the resort has cheapened the little extras they offered years past. We always stay Excellence Club, but this year, the main Club pool was closed, the specialty soaps they pointedly bragged about are no longer available, the turn down service was lacking, the maids missed cleaning our room twice so we had to mention it to the management, the top brand name alchohol was at best minimal. Overall we found the extra little perks we used to enjoy have disappeared. Honestly, its becoming more of a four star resort, but remains very expensive. Guests can find much better service, and more perks elsewhere for a much better price.

First time staying here. We enjoyed the beach area and our swim out pool from our room the most. The staff was very friendly. Food options were decent, but as far as buffet goes, just mediocre. We could always get drinks at the bars but didn’t get asked by servers walking around very often, it was more of a serve yourself setting. No real concierge service either. Other resorts have pampered us in that way. But here it was more of a fend for yourself. The night performances rehearsed by our room so that was loud, not once, but twice per day. It went often past 10 pm. We did attend one and they were good, just extremely loud. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. But it was a one time stay for us.

In a word… nirvana?! I don’t know how our experience could have been better. Upgrading to Beach House 8 was just… magical. Waking up and walking out to your own veranda eight steps from the beach and watching shooting stars over the ocean at night are things I will never forget. Now to the practical review… The food was fresh and fantastic every day and I really liked everything I ordered. (I’m kinda picky and weird about meat, so that’s kinda hard to accomplish :) The frozen drinks were fantastic. Our only complaint is that they don’t really have the greatest selection of higher-end liquor and they won’t switch out your room bottles with scotch, tequila or bourbon without an extra charge. Seems strange when you pay a lot to upgrade. On to the staff. Perhaps as good as our beachfront room, the people here are the warmest, nicest people I have ever met while traveling. There are too many to name but some our favorites who went above and beyond for us were Steven, Kesha, Alicia, and Ronaldo on the beach, and Michelle in housekeeping, who would greet me with a giant “good morning sweet pea” and a hug every day! And I don’t want to forget our favorite servers who brought us incredible meals, drinks, and smiles, Princess and Kevhan. Overall, I would highly recommend this resort if you like a more chill, quiet and very relaxing vacation. I really can’t wait to go back. Thank you Excellence Oyster Bay for a week we will never forget!

What a perfect honeymoon we just had at Excellence! This was the first trip we took together that we spent a good chunk of change on to really make it a special vacation as newlyweds. And it was worth every penny. We loved our room, the staff, the amenities, the view (of course), and most importantly. That there were no children! Lol 10/10 would recommend for your next romantic, adult-centric, luxurious vacation!

Open arriving at the hotel I had a 2 hour wait in order to get into my room. You would think the room would be clean by then. Nope guess again!! The shower had hair in it, the sink was not clean and smudges all over. The mirror. Not what I expected from a resort that prides itself on ” excellence” The beach that was reserved for excellence guest was subpar to say the least. With only one waitress for my entire one week stay to serve guest. The excellence was not worth the over exuberant price that we paid. Find some place else that is a true five star.

Photos on the website are extremelyyyyy deceiving. Staff is very rude and they don’t even try and hide it. We got up charged for everything and even when I cancelled the private dinner for one of my guests that was no longer attending, they knew about this weeks in advance, they still charged me for it. I never liked all inclusive hotels — this is only my second one, ever — and now I remember why. Extremely disappointed with how my stay there was. I was here with a group and to be treated this way is unreal.

Property very clean overall. Food quality and options not to the level we have experienced at other all-inclusive resorts. Restaurant availability disappointing, there is only a handful of restaurants and more than 3 closed each day. Not much going on as far as entertainment.

I loved my stay at The Excellence Oyster Bay. I was there for a family vacation and the stay exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious and that’s not something I say a lot about resort meals. Each of the restaurants we attended was a great experience. The Lobster House, Caribbean Grove, Spice and The Kitchen were all amazing and the staff was so helpful. The entertainment was great as well. I enjoyed archery with CJ and the aloe class with Coco Chanel. The grounds of the hotel were beautiful and well maintained. Overall, me and my family really enjoyed ourselves and will be returning.

The Resort is the best option for relaxation, good food and outstanding service! Variety of restaurants, amazing pools and good entratainment. Defenitely I will come back. Truly Jamaica!!!!
