THE SPACE:
The "Monte de S. Tomás" is situated in Montemor-o-Novo, near Évora (UNESCO heritage town), it was designed to be the leisure home of a family of Cascais with land connections, and their friends.
This space with 2 hectares of old olive grove and orange trees, consists of the family house, the house of the caretaker, the barbecue, the pool, the barn and 2 wells. Both houses were born of the reconstruction and extension of the old constructions existing in the place according to the characteristics and architectonic specificities of the region.
The large house or family home, have a common room with an Alentejo fireplace, 3 bedrooms, 1 office, 2 bathrooms, kitchen and a fantastic porch where family and friends meet to eat, talk and rest. In summer the porch is the place to be of excellence, very quiet and relaxing that invites to reading and leisure.
The eclectic décor, where typical local objects blend with family or contemporary objects and furniture, creates a contemporary, cozy and comfortable country setting.

The installed pool tries to recreate the old irrigation tanks existing in the region, it is the place to cool off from the intense heat of the summer.
The existing barbecue, initially used in the days of agricultural work, has become a place where the friends of the family live, and there they make large and long barbecues.
The small house is a house of support to the works of the field.
Around property (Mount St. Thomas) there are numerous dirt paths and rails to explore, walk or ride a bike (they have 4 bikes available).
GUEST ACCESS:
Guests have full access to all facilities while the large house is for the exclusive use of guests.
INTERACTION WITH THE HOSTS:
At check-in I am always there to greet and welcome my guests.
My availability to interact with guests is total however they are the guests that define this interaction.
When I'm not available, Manuel (the caretaker) is available to deliver the keys.
