my husband and I stopped here for one night on our way to montreal,we wanted a little bit of wilderness before our city stop, It was perfect, especially the walk up the mountain for the view
The front desk was very friendly and accommodating!! We especially liked the community room on the fifth floor. The road up the mountain to the property is very curvy and a bit steep in some parts. Would certainly recommend this place to others!!

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Staff and food at the tavern were excellent. Rooms were slightly dated, but the bed was very comfortable. Sound travels well through the walls, doors, and ceilings, so I imagine it would be rough in peak season. Road leading there were rough mountain roads as expected.

We will look forward to staying again. The parking lot was a little rough
Overall, our experience was excellent. If you stay there, split the steak dish between two people. One of the best steaks I have ever had (we did this twice, on Mon. and Thur.) 10oz steak is just right for the two of us. Room was clean and well appointed but a touch small. The staff was excellent and went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. Negatives were not the fault of the resort but here they are: 1. It's pretty far out. Took about 40 minutes to get to Burlington. 2. The weather is NOT the resorts fault. We got there during a downpour that lasted 3 days until we were leaving. 3. Being at a ski lodge in the summer (during rainy weather) is a bit like being at the Overlook Hotel in the winter. (Go ahead. Look it up!)
This said, we still had a nice time and would come again if we go to north Vermont. (P.S. The sunrise on our last day was beautiful.)
The hotel was super cute secluded in the mountains. Quiet and had a store and restaurants on property for convenience. Restaurant food was delicious and the front clerk was always happy and friendly! My only gripe are the beds were super firm so I had to stretch out my back before starting my day.
Ehh. Though small, the room was clean. Bathroom had tub/shower toilet and a sink... All small.
The hotel was more like a deluxe hostel... Definitely catering to the winter ski crowd. Restaurant was limited.
We lucked out with great snow. Everything you need is right at the resort, not fancy, but great for the no fuss skier that wants to be close to the slopes
My twelve year old son and I had the best ski vacation to date here at Bolton Valley. Everything just seemed to come together. The conditions were what a skier dreams about. The term 'hidden gem', of course, is over used but there really is no other way to describe it. It's not a millionaire's mountain; it's old school skiing at it's best. The lift lines were almost non-existent - and this being Mass and NY school vacation. I'm so thrilled that we chanced upon this resort.
Pleasantly surprised by how much I liked this place given other reviews. It was great, and we can’t wait to go back! I had thought of staying in Burlington or Stowe but so happy to have stayed here. Beds were comfortable, room was clean. You can’t beat walking down stairs to slopes or ticket window or down the hall to Tavern for good food (salad & burger) and live music. Walking inside to get breakfast. Only downside was parking lot. Took 40 minutes to find parking Saturday morning (no sign for hotel parking although there is a designated area but the people parked were day trippers and only 2 had parking pass). The worst potholes I’ve ever seen & they were everywhere and unavoidable. Definitely need an SUV. Ski slopes are narrow and fun. Long hours & awesome
