I Love It- Great Modern Hotel
Boxotel exceeded all my expectations! The location is unbeatable, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. The modern rooms are stylish, comfortable, and equipped with excellent amenities that made my stay feel luxurious. The service was absolutely wonderful—friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist. I’ve already decided this will be my go-to place for my regular trips. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a top-notch experience!

Boxotel offers incredible value for money! The rooms are very reasonably priced, especially given the amenities, which include a full kitchen (complete with a dishwasher) and a stacked washer/dryer. We stayed in a room with a Murphy bed that folded into a couch and a desk that could extend into a table. I was thoroughly impressed by how many thoughtful features were packed into the space! The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the high-quality linens were a nice touch. My only complaints are minor. The spa was closed during our stay due to maintenance, and no breakfast options were available in the morning as advertised. However, I imagine this could be due to the quieter winter season with fewer guests, so I don't hold it against the hotel. The location is another big plus! It's within walking distance of all the most exciting parts of Montreal. That said, one thing to note is the lack of free parking for guests. There's a lot directly across the street that charges 20 CAD for 24 hours, which seemed safe and convenient. Unfortunately, we discovered later that an AirTag had been placed inside our car’s mirror at some point during our stay—a common car theft tactic in Montreal, from what I’ve read. Thankfully, we left before anything happened, but it’s something to be cautious about when parking in the area. Overall, Boxotel is a fantastic choice for its price, amenities, and location. I’d definitely stay here again, with a few precautions in mind!

I booked a grand studio king room and I was informed on the same day around 3pm (check in time) that the room I booked is not available and they can only get me a grand studio queen room. I was asking for a refund on the price difference because I paid for a grand studio king room price! The property manager told me they will not refund unless I drive all the way and fetch it. This is unacceptable and ridiculous. The hot tub and SPA can’t be used now. Terrible experience.

My husband and I loved our stay. The hotel is clean, modern, quiet and very well located. We enjoyed the hot tub on the rooftop the most. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. Extra points for the large bath tub in the room. Lovely and relaxing.

Boxotel was an amazing experience overall with wonderful amenities including a sauna and spa. The staff was great and very helpful whenever we needed their assistance. However, our car was stolen outside of the hotel in the paid public parking lot. We were unaware of Montreal’s car theft problem. We would strongly recommend that visitors choose a parking location that is secure or take measures to prevent vehicle theft. Despite this unfortunate end to our trip the hotel was incredibly understanding, called the local police for us, and even gave us an extra free night and late check out to figure out our next steps.

Awesome room and building. We travel a few times through Quebec every year and will likely stay there when its convenient. Not many decent restaurants nearby but you must try "Indian North"(?). It is walking distance and real good food! Authentic.

I've no idea how this place is, because there's construction right in front of the building: the whole street is blocked off. I wasn't able to park anywhere, and I had a baby with me so I had to abandon the booking (there is no reception desk, no one to call, and it was 10pm), so I had to abandon my booking and stay elsewhere.
