One cannot stay in a 17th Century old beautiful chateau and expect all the modern 5 stars amenities. Having said that, all amenities are available and more than adequate for us. We had a wonderful stay here and the hostess was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast setting was amazing. Would definitely return again if we are in the area in future. Very nicely located as it is close to Blois and Chambord.
Gracious welcome to this beautiful property. Our room had its own private rooftop terrace! We loved the amazing breakfast that we enjoyed in a private dining room. Highly recommended! Hope to return soon!
The chateau was amazingly beautiful. The staff was incredibly helpful. I was traveling alone and they took care of me the entire time, making sure I had transportation, could store my luggage and even check in ahead of time. Lovely service!
I will definitely return.
We loved our stay at this lovely old family run chateau. We did not want a modern, all bells and whistles hotel, you can get that anywhere. What we wanted was to step back in time, and it delivered. Good old fashioned family hospitality.
Feel like at home, interesting family history to learn and good food. The host is great!

Loved this property! Monsieur Didier was a most gracious host. We arrived very late and hungry and were invited to join other guests in the dining room who had just finished their 1st course. Dinner was delicious and the company wonderful. Breakfast was also delicious and plentiful. I shared with Monsieur Didier that what I appreciated most was that our family suite was exactly what I had expected. Châteaux Chambord is very close by. If we are ever in this area again we would not hesitate to stay at the Château de Colliers. Merci !
Very personal touch. One of the relatives runs this chateau. He made dinner and it was fantastic. We all ate together in the dinning room and we talked about the history of the place. Everything, all the furnishings seemed to be original. Pretty cool place.
Wonderful family Chateau a short drive from Chambord. Diiger the present master of the Chateau was a fabulous host. We had a memorable evening and dinner with him at the Chateau.
It is a room in a mansion--not a hotel. It is a pre-Revolutionary mansion and the room was fit for a guest of the anciene regime. The dinning room is covered with original artwork, as befits a chateau. The view is of the River Loire. If you want an extraordinary experience, stay here.
Great room. Very friendly staff, amazing position on the river. Best nights sleep. The grandeur of a bygone era and everything works.
Loved my stay.

Pleasant stay for one night
This is clearly a welloved family chateau and being looked after with the dwindling resources at their disposal. These places must cost a fortune to maintain.
The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. The bathrooms need some updating and are rather dated and the layout was a little bizarre. Breakfast was served around a large family community a large table and a typical continental breakfas. Overall a pleasant ant stay but for the money I have found better maintained chateaus and locations.
I liked everything about the Château except the check in process. Had to call 24 hours in advance to let them know when you would be arriving. It was very inconvenient
The rightful 7th generation owners are kind, personable and professional. We ate a lovely breakfast with French and Chinese visitors to the region. We had our own private balcony to watch the river valley unfold. Slept with our windows open to hear all the sounds of the lovely evening. You’re transported back centuries. The dining room boasts murals of the family in various artistic themes. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
