Police officer stopped me while I was parking and asked if I knew where I was and told me that I was
In a high drug, violence, and crime area and that if I parked my van where i did, it surely would be broken into when I woke up in the morning. I went inside to tell them i could not stay there and needed to cancel and refund my room. They passed me off by saying it was booked through Expedia and I needed o call them to cancel and refund it. Expedia was nearly impossible to get ahold of, and after getting disconnected 3 times I finally got ahold of a live person on chat. They called the hotel and the hotel passed me off again saying all cancellations and refunds needed to be emailed to the hotel manager and would take 3 days for a response. Now I will need to do a charge dispute with my credit card company to resolve this. I ended up having to scramble at 9:00pm trying to find a safer hotel to stay at and it ended up costing me a lot more since it was an on the spot booking, but I had no choice! I could not stay in an area where an actual police officer said I was not safe! I cannot believe a hotel like this can even be in business, and for them to drag their feet and pass me off on a refund when I called them out about a situation they obviously are aware about is insane! Obviously, they are loading their reviews with fake reviews because they paint a different picture when you read the reviews. I should have known by the low price of the hotel something was not right…
