Old property, poorly renovated. Beds were old and cheap, walls were all patchy with drywall repairs half done, different colors of paint used to patch damaged areas, refrigerator was extremely noisy, bathroom fan didnt work, flooring was lumpy and dirty. But the staff was friendly and polite.

The room was fine, and the front desk service was excellent. My issue was that the hot tub was not working. It was open for use but the jets didn’t run. It was literally sharing a bath tub with strangers. I specifically sought out a hotel with a pool and hot tub. I cancelled a different reservation with another hotel in a much better location for this exact reason. The rooms here were also more expensive because of the pool and hot tub. Had I known it wasn’t working properly I simply would not have stayed here. By the time I found out it was too late to go to another hotel. This type of issue needs to be communicated in advance so the customer can make alternative arrangements if so desired. I would like to be contacted by management regarding compensation for this shortcoming.

one thing i disliked a lot was that there was a rat sticky pad in our room and my grand child touched it because he is young and didn’t know what it was. the staff at ricky’s was great but the lady at the continental breakfast was miserable . one thing that needs to change is in order to get a towel for the pool you need to go to the front desk. while we were there it was busy so you have to wait in line which could take 20 min or more , by the time i received my towel , my family ( who was staying in a different room) was almost ready to get out of the hot tub. i probably would not stay here again unless changes were made.

The staff was excellent. Because we are elderly we couldn't take a shower; high tub with no grab bars. Lack of elevator was a problem. Why was there no butter?
