This is my 2nd time at the Sheraton Nanchang. My first stay was in Oct 2017 for a couple of nights. This time, I stayed for 8 nights for work. I arrived before the end of the 15-day Chinese New Year celebration, and the hotel lobby was decorated for the Chinese New Year. The decorations were taken down immediately after the new year ended, and I missed my change to take any pictures.
My room was spacious and very comfortable. I had a partially obstructed view of the river. At night, the buildings outside my window had light-shows. The hotel has all the basic amenities including a decent gym and swimming pool. They also have a sauna that I will try the next time I stay there. The gym was not crowded in the late evening (after 9:00 pm) when I usually try to get my workout.
The breakfast buffet has a good selection of Chinese and Western options. On the Chinese side, you can make your own bowl of noodles with freshly-made wontons and trimmings. They also have a custom grain smoothie (barley, sesame seeds, soy beans, red beans, etc) that is quite unique. I especially liked the steam food section where they usually have a variety of Chinese buns and root veggies. On the Western side, you have your usual cooked-to-order eggs, bacon, sausages, etc. I overhead a Caucasian American family comment one morning that the bacon was the best they have ever tasted. That's high praise indeed.
