The staff were absolutely excellent. We were met at reception by Maureen, and she took us through the check in procedure without any problems. She asked us if we would like to use French or English to check in (we chose English).
The room was very comfortable and clean, with all the facilities we needed for a one night stay.
The meal in the evening was absolutely first class, and the waitress staff were helpful and very friendly.
We found the kettle in our room did not work, so we rang reception. Maureen came up and tried a kettle from the next room, but it was the fitting which was u/s. Maureen offered us a change of room, but we were too tired to repack and unpack. Maureen made various suggestions for a cup of tea in the morning, and finally offered to make up a key for the next room so we could boil a kettle in the morning.
We did not have breakfast, as we were still pretty full from the evening meal!!
Overall we were very impressed with the hotel and staff, and, as we travel through France 2 -3 times per year, we plan to re-book at this hotel in the future.
The only slight criticism is the state of the outside of the hotel, as it could do with renovation, especially the outside staircases.
