We stayed 4 nights at this hotel. The first night, we were assigned room 307 which had a lot of problems:
1. The chairs were dirty with large stains on the cushions.
2. The TV died suddenly and I had to call the hotel staff to reboot it.
3. Electricity kept cutting out in the room, including when I tried to take a shower.
We finally asked for a change of room and was given a temporary room which was smaller than what we paid for. But at least it was clean and comfortable, and warm (we visited during late fall).
The next day the hotel helped us move to another room in the top floor and it was a decent room. The cushions of the chairs still have stains though.
Hotel breakfast was disappointing. Most of the food was cold, with the excepting of the rice porridge and the pot-dish (Nabe-mono or wonton). Since we visited in December when the temperature was near 0 C in the morning, having to eat cold food was especially unpleasant.
Overall, go for the new Daiwa Roynet Toyama Eki-mae. That one is brand new and from what I could see from the outside, a much better choice.
