We arrived late Friday night to the hotel, and at check-in the person working the desk was very kind and inviting. He got me checked in quickly, and we went to grab a couple of things at Target before coming back to our room. At first glance, the room seemed clean and tidy. However, after being settled in for 2 hours, my daughter decided to shower and we found black mold on the ceiling and in the corners of the tub/shower area. There was also some orangey brown stain on the wall between the toilet and shower that could have been poop or puke- disgusting. We also discovered that our TV remote didn't work; we were able to get the TV to turn on, but we couldn't change the channel. Since it was so late and we had already been in the room for a while, I decided to wait to report it 'til the next day.
The next morning my son wanted to swim, so we went down to the indoor pool. The floor of the elevator was dirty, with something having been spilled on the floor and not cleaned up. The only table in the swim area was covered in crumbs of someone's leftover food and there were crushed Goldfish crackers all over the floor upon entry. All the chairs were dirty, and the metal around the door to the pool area was heavily rusted, as well.
I didn't have time to stop at the desk to talk about the cleanliness issues in the room on Saturday, but I made sure to report it when we checked out. The man I spoke to didn't seem too apologetic or surprised. I will NEVER stay here again.
