Hyatt Place did not impress.
The hotels location was exactly what we wanted. The room was as shown. Sadly, Hyatt Place has a building being constructed beside it. Unfortunately our length of stay was not considered when allocating the room for five nights. Or possibly because we booked through Hotels.com we were given this horrible location. Construction echoed outside of our room beginning at 7am! So much for treating ourselves to a getaway treating ourselves to sleeping in. The room walks were paper thin, we could hear the man next door coughing clearly. Breakfast was good, a nice selection and variety, which we both appreciated. Thought we would dine at the bar which we regretted. Food was mediocre served on plastic plates and plastic utensils?? ( sad) The Friday night bartender had his ear on the phone for the hour we were there leaving the bar/ dining room without staff to service.

Overall, the hotel was great! The location was perfect - very walkable to Broadway, restaurants and other attractions. The staff was super nice, especially at the front desk! They were very accommodating, friendly and helpful! The only negative complaint about the hotel is that our room was very dark - making it a little difficult to get ready (especially for sake of applying makeup). I would have to bring a makeup mirror with a light the next time. Other than that, no complaints!

I though overall the hotel was great and the front check in staff where fantastic. Breakfast was really good. The only thing was the bartender. He could do more to interact with guests instead of sitting on his phone at the end of the bar. It was like we were bothering him when he had to get up and get us a drink.
