British Colonial at Nassau
British Colonial stay was awesome ( cordial, joyful and helpful)! 1. Newly renovated facility. Amazing staff! 2. Private, clean beach with amenities for kayak/paddle board/ water-cycle, life-jackets, chairs, umbrellas. 3. Taxis available outside the property. Got taxi at 5.30 am. Some are standing even at 4.00 am for early morning flights (no Uber or Lyft in Nassau). 4. 1-5 mins walking distance from Hertz and Avis car rental. 5. Family friendly. 6. Pools were clean, for small kids, adults, heated ones, infinity pool, lifeguard and life-jackets availability. 7. Location was super; close to cruise ship port, straw market, Umbrella lane, Queens Staircase, Fin Castle, Pirates Museum, Jitney stop, various restaurants, kids favorite Dunkin, McDonals, Burger King, Cable Beach, Cabbage Beach/Paradise island; Junkanoo public beach, Arawak Cay-Fish Fry market, Saunders beach. 8. 5 min walking distance to ferry and boat tours near Senior Frog and Margaritaville water park.

Very beautiful, the weekend was was horrific! The property across the street was not only loud but the beds shook - to their defense they did offer ear plugs to help with the noise but I’ll never stay here again.

Our family enjoyed our stay at the British Colonial! Our corner room had windows on two walls and even though it said "garden view" we had a great view of the harbor and all the cruise ships coming in. Our stay was pleasantly quiet (possibly because we were at the end of a hall). The bathroom had a shower stall and tub. We enjoyed the grandeur of the entrance and historical photos and artifacts displayed in the hallways. We spent a lot of time in the pools and the ocean. The water was fairly calm since it is in the harbor, and we appreciated that the water was roped off. There was great outdoor seating and some water equipment like paddle bike and kayaks. Wished we had seen the beach volleyball court earlier! The front door crew were always helpful and there was always a line of taxis waiting outside, which was really convenient. We will absolutely stay at the British Colonial on our next trip as it was really just overall convenient to getting out, seeing the city or catching tours, and the private beach. Most of the area closes at 5 when the cruise ships leave, so the area is not busy at night.
