Walker Hill Farms is a 106 acre Farm located on the Staunton Riv. It consists Walker Hills Farm sets on 106 acres of open fields, hard woods, cut over, and old family farm house, original part built circa 1780. A former tobacco farm, the house itself is rustic and quaint decorated with art and antiques, some original to house. There are three bedrooms, one bath, living room, dining room, kitchen, and sunroom. The kitchen is complete with dishwasher, oven, microwave, with cookware and serving dishes, Washer Dyer Combo in Sun Room. The farm has mostly been used for weekend retreats and hunting outings. Each room has baseboard heat and/or individual unit or gas fireplace. AIr conditioner window units cool the house in summer. You will have access to roam the property, hike or mountain bike to the river, and launch your canoe or Kayak. The run between Long Island and Brookneal is rated as one of the best canoe trips in the state. Charter fishing trips can be arranged for small mouth, Strippers, and walleye as well as drop off for your canoe (you can canoe or kayak back to property) The house, by plan, does not have TV's or internet.
