The hotel was really nice! Also cute old school stay with real keys and not key card. Provided a comfortable stay for a night in the city. Everyone seemed very sweet from the Dorman and bellboy to the front desk people. Room was nice with a little living room, bedroom, and bathroom had a mirror with a ledge when you first walked in so you could set up face stuff. There was valet parking when we came and they took the car to a garage and we just left it there the whole time because easier to Uber and walk around city then worry about parking. We called 30 mins before we wanted to leave when checking out and they brought it around.

We love the Eliot and stay there often. This time since I was traveling alone I chose a smaller room (usually get the deluxe suite) called the deluxe queen room. There was a stark contrast in experience. The room was fine. But that's it - fine. I could have been any random mid level hotel so I was disappointed, and the walls were thin and the rooms on either side of me had guests who were sort-of loud and I could hear one of them snoring through the wall - tho the rate was much less - so much so that I wondered why when I booked. As usual the staff was very nice. There was an issue with the wifi and the promptly sent someone up with a portable modem for me and it worked fine. So we will definitely return to the Eliot but I feel like I saw behind the velvet curtain a bit - will book the suite next time!
