It was so close to the Nauvoo Temple. The BBQ restaurant next door was delicious. Our room was spacious, clean and well appointed.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Nauvoo Temple House Hotel. We stayed in the building across from the Temple labeled Zions Mercantile. The room was nice for Nauvoo. Plenty of Space for a family of 6. A/C was working great, so the room was comfortable. Shower was the strongest shower I've ever experienced. Felt like the episode of Seinfeld with the black market shower heads, it was intense. Location was ideal, understanding that nowhere in Nauvoo is too inconvenient, but it's great to be right across from the Temple. Would definitely stay there again.

The only negative is all the stairs to climb with luggage. The rooms on the 3rd floor are better than the ones on the 2nd floor. No rooms on the 1st floor. We have stayed there 4 times now.

Building is historic and has historic uneven floors. Was very convenient for our purposes, decent bbq joint in part of the building. Room was spacious and clean, bathroom was small with only a small stand up shower. Was fine for the 2 of us, but might be hard to manage if your family of 7 filled the beds

I love that it is an old, historic hotel! It is very conveniently located. I enjoyed walking to nearby shopping, the family search center and temple. It is a 2-3 minute drive down to old, historic Nauvoo. The room was small but the bathroom was big. It has been updated but still has that original feel. The bed was wonderfully comfortable! It was queen size. The curtains close to darken the room. I appreciated the fan. It was a perfect get-away for me. It might be too tight of quarters for two people. There is only a fridge, no freezer. The microwave is shared in the hallway. There are almost no dining options in town so bring your own food. I will definitely stay again.

Great stay! Premium location just up the street from the Nauvoo Temple! Friendly staff. Loved the four room/three bed suite accommodating our whole party of 5 adults! Limited restaurant options later in the evening or for breakfast in the morning in small-town Nauvoo. Plan accordingly!

Because we booked our rooms late, we needed to change rooms for our second and third night. Management and the cleaning staff went out of their way to clean our room early so we could move rooms without packing everything to our car and back in again. The rooms were quaint and charming and very comfortable. We loved the location.

This hotel has no lobby in the building
Strongly suggested to front desk, Eleanor, that Nauvoo Temple House Hotel consider adding additional information to their signs near the front door to elaborate, "formerly Woodruff Hotel." Attempted to check in late after the Big Baldridge & Bonfire 2024 @ Nauvoo, IL. As there is no hotel lobby, i got super confused, wandering around, trying several of the doors. Later spoke to front desk, Eleanor, who said I was sent an "email or text message" that day with instructions to check in at a different location. I checked my spam folder and nothing. I was actively checking emails & texts that day- nothing received. I spoke to the hotel later in the night who suggested I walk around, in the dark, in an unfamiliar town despite knowing my companion with whom I am traveling has a physical disability. I left and checked into another hotel.

We felt like we were in a 5 star hotel. Wonderful! The room was spacious, the beds comfortable and the towels were nicer than we have at home. The only negative and this is being a little picky traveling with our children is that for a room with 3 beds, there was only one tv. Otherwise, 5 stars all the way.

We went to check in and were told we needed to drive down the street to another building to get the keys to our room, It took us an extra hour to find the place and get the keys, then drive back to the hotel. We were on the 3rd floor and no elevator. I loved the big fluffy bath towels.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We accomplished all our objectives during our visit. Historic Nauvoo helped us gain a better appreciation of the sacrifices of the early day Saints.

It was as expected for a historic old property. We didn’t like the idea of them asking for gratuities when there was no soap when we arrived (but they did come drop some off at our door) and no one is around on Sunday so there was really nothing for them to do! Mainly a bed and breakfast without the breakfast.

Dining options are not as good this time of year. They are seasonal and it slows down in September. Casey's convivence store has juice, muffins, donuts for a quick breakfast snack. Red Front has fabulous sandwiches within walking distance.

Booked last minute. Was quiet surprised at the room. Very clean and tidy in historical building. Was 2 flights of stairs to get to but not a problem for us and we knew that when booked. Check in was at different location but friendly and informative staff. Definitely book again if in area.
