The primary and second bedrooms, each featuring a plush queen-size bed, are situated on the main level alongside a bathroom, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The third bedroom, a unique space located downstairs, is accessible via an outdoor entrance, offering a degree of privacy and separation perfect for larger families or groups. A Deck from Heaven!!!
I think we spent the whole weekend on that deck or in the water right by it. My Mom was already wanting to book the house again before we even left. Great place to catch up with old friends and family. Can't wait to come back again!!!

Lower lever not clean
We booked a stay to get our kids together and the lower lever had bugs that left our kids with nasty bites we let the property know the same night and they refused to help. We sent them pictures and we purchased insurance for the trip and still no help it was not pleasant.

quiet weekend place
This house had enough space inside and nice view for river. It was easy to communicate with host. But furnitures on patio we’re dirty and our “dream” about morning coffee and breakfast outside was impossible b/c we can’t used this space. 😟 but all our weekend was great!

Overall, this property would be good for certain groups but there are some things that I think people need to be aware of. The day before arrival we received a text that the deck was broken. The deck did not provide easy access down to the water. Additionally, we could not sit on the deck and enjoy the view. The portion of the deck that was not broken had a large tree in front of it which was wonderful for shade but made it hard to watch our kids down in the water. Getting down to the water required going down some very steep stairs which would not be good for the young, the old, or anyone who does not have sure step. The house was clean and the appliances that we used all worked. However, the light in one of the bedrooms was not working properly. We did text the property management and they offered to come fix it but we opted to wait until we left. The beds were fine and there were extra blankets as needed. The one TV worked find but there was a lot of tape on the remote controls. Many of the chairs in the house were wiggly making us uncomfortable to sit in them. We were surprised that there was no soap. There was shampoo and conditioner but no soap. In order to get to the kids bedroom (the one with the twin beds), you had to go outside and down a set of stairs outside then back across the porch to their door. My youngest was not comfortable having no way to get into the house after we were asleep. He slept on the couch instead. The older two slept downstairs but ended up coming around to the front door to get a snack several times in the middle of the night. One the back porch the rocking chairs are so wiggly and we could not use them. They need to be replaced. We were unable to sit on the porch and rock because they are not safe. The location was wonderful. The house was clean. Everything was labeled. When we texted the property management company they responded within a timely manner. With some maintenance this could be a five star property. However, I still would not recommend it for anyone with younger kids who would not feel comfortable with having to go outside to get to the main part of the house.

The country charm and peacefulness was just what we needed. Morning coffee on the deck listening to the birds and the river was the perfect way to start the day. The fact that you had to go outside and down the staircase to access the bedroom for the rest of our family was a pain. Then there was no hot water in the second bathroom or exhaust fans in either of them proved to be challenging for 7 guests. Overall it fit the bill. I would definitely visit this area again. The people were friendly and the neighbors very helpful with sightseeing attractions.

Mac's Place was okay, but overall we were disappointed. We wanted to get away to relax. There were lots of little stickers around the house like "windows don't open", "don't use the stove", "sleeper sofa not functioning", etc. Having visited in the fall, we were particularly disappointed that we were unable to use the wood burning stove that was there in lieu of a fireplace. For a place touted as capacity of 8, there were only two rockers on the back porch. We had trouble with both door locks, which were promptly attended to by the property manager, which we appreciated. We also found the upstairs mattresses very uncomfortable. The best part of the visit was the adorable and friendly orange tabby that appeared every day. We expected the house to be kitschy, but the furnishings were all well worn and need refreshing. Overall, there were lots of small disappointments. We still enjoyed our stay, but would not recommend or return.

We had a great time - the living room was comfortable and cozy for talking, watching TV and relaxing. The porch that overlooked the water was so peaceful and we spent a few hours there. We also enjoyed sitting at the dock by the water.
