This was a great place to stay as it’s central to all the shops and restaurants of the French Quarter without being in the hustle and bustle of Bourbon Street. Pros - location (this hotel is legit close to everything), they provide a fridge in the room, soup, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion were provided, the two female reception and all bellhop staff were awesome (friendly and super helpful), very cool antique feel to the building. Cons - our room wasn’t cleaned properly for 3/4 of our 8-day stay. The sheets weren’t changed, bathroom floors weren’t being vacuumed (there was long hair and I don’t have any!) and the “fresh” towels had hair stuck to one of them. This is tough for a person like me with a hair phobia. The biggest issue that I didn’t read about in any reviews was the close proximity of the train and paddlewheeler boats. The train legit came multiple times a night (3am, 5am) and rang their warning horns incessantly. This woke me up every night. The boats rang their whistles every morning. If you are a light sleeper beware of this.
I would probably stay again if there were rooms with more insulation from the external noise (if possible) and if the cleaning was better.
