The property was very nice. I really liked the layout of the the property and proximity to Bourbon Street, Frenchman Street and the art district. I loved having breakfast at Wakin Bakin. I would stay at the property again.

History feel
The building was beautiful, it has that old history feel. The outlet to the microwave and fridge didnt work. Both full size mattresses needed replacement. The beds were worn out. The handle to the shower was missing a screw so it fell off every time. The remote did not function properly. I walked around looking at the two pools they had to offer. No, i would not stay again. Too many other places to stay and explore.

The girl who checked us in wasnt very friendly and the door handle on our hotel and in the bathroom was broken. Other than that the location was perfect and the hotel was very cute. Perfect New Orleans style. Overall we had a great experience with this hotel.

Disgusting.
We wanted a New Orleans style hotel and chose based on location and pictures. The room we got looked nothing like those advertised. No plates on outlets, no decor, walls were filthy, bathroom gross and tv did not work. It literally looked like a college kid rented out there room, would never tell anyone else to stay at this place. Lobby was nice but once you go to your room it’s a whole different experience.

I loved the history of this place. The courtyard in between the buildings is so cute and uniquely NOLA. However that all being said i noticed the pictures of the rooms that are shown are super cute and nice. The room we got was not horrible, but it was a little small and outdated, and did not look like the pictures represented. We ddi get invited into a different room, and that room looked like the pictures. Although i cant speak for that room, the room we got consisted of: The walls are very thin and you can hear everything in the adjacent rooms or rooms above you, and anything happening outside. The fridge seal didnt work so the cabinet door is used to keep the fridge door shut. The microwave takes long to heat stuff up and was missing the plate. The fan in the bathroom did not work. The door seemed to not shut all the way on the bottom, but all the locks worked perfect. The pool was very very cold. The bed was not the most comfortable. The pillows were down, which wasnt bad. But, with all of those apparent “negatives”, dont let that deter you. For the price and convenient location of this place (within 5-15 minute walk to most everything in the french quarter), i would highly recommend this place to stay. The staff were super nice, and were very helpful to us. The janitorial staff were so friendly and nice. There are 2 cats that live outside here. The surrounding area is clean and safe. The positives outweigh any negatives. And its super cute and historical.

The front lobby was very nice, and our room looked good at first glance. The floors were not clean (a lot of hair) , the baseboards were filthy, the plug ins need to be changed, there was someone’s water bottle underneath the bed along with a grey sock. No safe in our room. On a positive note, the cats that hangout pool side are great and we had a really great visit with other occupants of the hotel.

Cleaning staff very friendly. Weekend staff at night very incompetent. They are not friendly and have no tact when talking. If you have any questions, don't even bother asking. The best thing about the area is that you can walk to all places and it is safe.

We did not stay in the main hotel. We were put across the street in a complete dump of a room. It was dirty and had a hole in the wall. Had to use step stool to claw our way onto a triple stacked bed.

The lobby was cute but despite it being designated a historical site, the building overall was just ok. It needs some renovation. Expect a motel room for accommodations. Old, dusty restrooms, broken knobs on furniture, bed uncomfortable. We weren’t in our room much, so it did the job.

Your getting what your paying for.
While I understand that the building is historical the bed where old and pillows had stains. The location of the hotel is great your getting to pay what you’re paying for a bed and a place to put your things in . The staff was good for the most part. When the website says 50 dollars a day for parking. They charge me 60 and then when I was checking out they said I had 30 to an hour to move my car . Don’t charge me I was not there for the full 24 hrs they charged my card. The hotel has a lot of potential honestly.

The staff was very nice, but my room door kept getting stuck when trying to open or close it. The air conditioner kept turning off and we advised the front desk, and they said they would get someone to fix it, but no one came to repair it.
