I'll start with the good. The room was very clean, with newer contemporary furnishings and the expected room amenities like a mini fridge, Keurig coffee maker, Smart TV, etc. The bed and pillows were also very comfortable, and the staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful. Now for the not so good. The description on Expedia of this hotel having a restaurant and bar is misleading. We ate at the 'Bistro,' as the hotel calls it, on our first night there and were not at all impressed with the service or the food. We had burgers that tasted more like mystery meat, and I could swear they were cooked in a microwave. The 'bar' had very limited drink options, and the person working there seemed very uninterested in actually working. He pretty much stayed in the back room until he'd hear patrons at the bar. Then he'd come out and unenthusiastically do his job. Add to that, the Bistro only serves breakfast and dinner, and they close earlier than most restaurants. So if you're late-nighters like we sometimes are, just plan on ordering out instead.

For a business hotel that serves the principal needs of a business traveler, this establishment checks all the boxes. Obviously, if you are looking for fancy dining and that kind of stuff, this won't suit you. But if you are looking for a good-value, clean, and well situated facility, this place checks all the boxes. The Q17 and Q30 buses are literally two minutes away at the gas station right outside the doors of the hotel. Both takes you to a subway station about 15 minutes away. Central Manhattan is then a 30 to 40 minutes ride by train. The rooms and common areas are spotlessly clean, spacious, and modern, as the building is new.

Check was very smooth and quick . Room was great. We walked in it had a very fresh and clean smell. Shower was great , bed was pretty comfortable. Tv channels had great selections . Very pleased with our stay

We only needed a place to stay because of a flight cancelation and the Courtyard Marriott was perfect for us because of it's proximity to the JFK Airport. The shuttle service and back forth was important to us.

Decent stay, although missing some comforts
Clean, safe place to stay; although there were some basics we missed: i.e. reliable access to ice on the floors indicated, the available foods in the onsite dining area were limited everyday, among with last minutes closures for dining and bar service. We also had a fire alarm sound, with very little/poor communication to the rooms, by phone to front desk and with lobby staff. It's unsettling to see staff suppressing the alarm at the fire panel, while others on staff have conflicting accounts of the issue. Aside, only 1 woman at the front desk (I wish I recalled her name), greeted people upon entry from the doors and elevator in the lobby. ALL staff must smile and greet guests.
