The most important thing that stood out was the early check-in. My flight arrived at 2 AM in New Jersey. I took a train into Manhattan. Walked around for a bit, but around 9 AM. I decided to give up and try for an early check-in. I was greeted nicely and welcomed, and was allowed to check in and get some sleep.

Overall, good stay. The common areas are nice but the rooms are a bit worn down. The room temperature consistently fluctuates - I didn’t expect to be sweating in NYC in Jan. The beds are also pretty flimsy. If the person on the top bunk moved at all, my bottom bunk would rock back and forth keeping me awake (I am a light sleeper). Bathrooms were pretty decent as well. Location was great! Right by the subway

I really appreciate this place. Super clean and easy if you are on a budget. Only reason for 4 stars is because one of the bunk mates in my room kept her light on all night, keeping everyone tossing and turning. I recommend earplugs and sleep mask if you plan to stay here. It’s fantastic but you never know who you end up with in your room.
