Wonderful NYC Hotel in a Great Location.
Fabulous hotel in a superb location. The staff are all very friendly, polite and helpful and the facilities are wonderful. Rooms are spotless and very comfortable, and breakfast in the lobby is so comfortable and relaxing. We plan to be back!

The room was large by New York standards and the room was very clean and in very good condition. The hotel does not have a bar or restaurant. The neighborhood appears to shut down by 9pm even on the weekend. I couldn’t even by sparkling water at CVS because they closed so early. No vibe. Not for me.

Our New Favorite NYC Home Away From Home
From check-in to check-out, we were greeted with genuine smiles from the doormen and front desk agents. Though it is a boutique hotel without a gym, gift shop, or pool, we appreciated the views of Park Avenue from our Juliette balcony in our suite, the beautiful rooftop, and the complimentary continental breakfast offerings in the lobby. The midtown location was also ideal. We loved being within walking distance to the Union Square Greenmarket and many local dining, entertainment, and shopping options. We’ve stayed at other NYC properties in the past, and this was our favorite. Can’t wait to return!

An old favorite, still good
This is my fourth stay at The Giraffe. The bed (firmness, linens, pillows) is probably the most comfortable I've ever slept in while away from home. For the price, would like them to update their lighting and bathrooms. I usually get upgraded to a larger room and/or balcony, but no dice this time -- still, one of the largest rooms you'll find in NYC and in a great neighborhood.

Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Continental breakfast was substantial. Coffee bar was available 24 hours in the lobby and generally there was fruit and some pastries available all day. Room was spacious and although the bathroom was small, it worked. There was a small step out balcony that allowed some fresh air (and NYC ambiance). The area is walkable and Madison Square Park nearby.
