Let me start with this massive cockroach i saw in my room on my 3rd day of stay! It was horrifying seeing that thing walk all over my stuff!!! I immediately called the reception to get someone to come and get rid of it. I waited and waited and started to pack my bags. I had to call again after 10mins and they finally sent someone up and all she did was, she grabbed that thing and took away! This building is so old and NOT pest controlled! I kept calling the office to get a hold of the manager so i can switch my room, that took another long time to get connected to him, long story short and many back and forths later, they moved me to another room on the same floor!!!! And no compensations were offered from the manager... On top of that, the furnace is extremely loud when its working and it will keep you up and the water takes for ever to gets a lottle bit hot. Also, there are no fridges in the room and no water bottles, you have to keep going to the 4th floor to get yourself water from the ice machine. The only positive is the location of the property. It's right by times square and you can easily get to places around the area.

This hotel was perfect for my quick trip. The room was small but I was only there to sleep and rest. It’s extremely walkable to Times Square and right across the street from a theater. Lots of restaurants and coffee places near.

The Paramount was an excellent choice for us! Unfortunately, the air conditioning wasn’t working in our room which is why I had to rate facilities a 3 star. The team tried to accommodate. When mngmnt reached out they claimed it was ‘slow to cool’ but the engineer that checked our room confirmed it wasn’t working at all. Overall, a good experience.

Arrived on Saturday 7/20 for a family vacation. We booked a 7 day stay and saw the reviews for the Paramount were pretty decent. Upon arriving lobby was bustling with activity and looked promising. Went to check in to find out they charge a $281 amenities charge. That was the first red flag since the hotel didn’t have any amenities. We got up to our room which was super cramped but the room appeared “clean”and that’s where it ended. Walking into the bathroom there was black mold all throughout the shower. 2 towels for a family of 4 and no washcloths. Even though we had the air turned down it was constantly running because it never seemed to cool off. We dropped our bags and brushed it off because we wanted to grab a bite to eat and start having fun. The next day air still wasn’t working correctly and checked the thermostat which prompted an error code and said call for service. Immediately went to the desk and they instantly switched our room. So then we had to pack up all the stuff and move up a floor. Walked into the 2nd room which was slightly bigger but still had issues. Ac worked great (almost too cold for the kids) but no TV was hanging on the wall, also wall sconce lights did not work at all, leaving the dingy overhead ceiling light to illuminate our evening. We had to go to Times Square to actually have illumination. The water damage all over the bathroom door was nasty, considering they have a fan for ventilation but it doesn’t work. Bathroom still had some mold but

The hotel is next door to the venue we were attending, which was great. However, the hotel and I had differences about what encompassed a double room. It doesn’t mean two people, in all my years of traveling, it is two beds. It was not my fault that they over booked. My reservation was made months in advance. The room’s temperature of 79degrees was also very uncomfortable the evening of arrival to next morning. Only with that revelation was our room changed to a more comfortable one and with two beds.

The Price Was Right
First time stay as hotel prices the week I visited were higher than normal. Great location. The “single” room was the smallest I’ve ever stayed in; twin bed! I had to use the small shelf nightstand as a desk. It was very clean though. Hallways were dark and narrow. The lobby is decorated and sounds like a nightclub with the music, which is fun but not a great setting to get work done while I waited to check in. A petty little detail that I found annoying—concierge charged $2 to check my luggage while I waited for my room, and $6 to store the same bag after I checked out (higher charge for the same service because I had checked out). They were able to book me an airport shuttle that picked me up at the hotel. I would stay again but probably wouldn’t choose it over the hotels where I normally stay in Midtown.
The “single” room fits the description with a twin bed.

Area was perfect location to everything. Despite the exterior construction of the building around the area this didn’t hinder or impede our stay. Rooms are small but all well maintained & we only were in our room to sleep. Staff were all amazing and hospitable. Only down fall , our shuttle to the airport booked directly through the hotel was supposed to be for 6:15 pm. They called at 3:15 asking to change it “due” to traffic . No it’s because there was another couple also going to LaGuardia Airport- so they took us all there together. Here I am at the Airport 3 hours before my 9:30pm Domestic flight . Very Disappointed
