This is a very honest review of my stay at the Paramount Hotel. I would not say I hate my experience, but I did not enjoy my stay.
Pros: The location is nice - walkable, in the heart of Times Square, easy transportation to nearby locations such as Fifth Avenue, Central Park, etc.
Cons: The property, to be honest, is outdated and lack of staff and organizational/professional support. I do appreciate some nice staff there being able to send people to my room to fix my AC, however, sometimes nobody came and I had the AC down for the whole night. Moreover, there is only one person at the Bellroom, which means you might have risks waiting for a long time, especially scary when you need to get your stuff and catch a flight, and there is a $3 per bag extra processing fee for card users. The elevator and my room were not lovely. There is a fly in my room, the AC is always down, a door that leads directly to the neighbor's room, a window with a broken wall, which leads to noises from construction and the street.
I agree with many reviews about the property with outdated, noisy, and having a down AC. I would recommend staying elsewhere if you have more budget; if not, you can choose this hotel if you can bear with all of the above.
