Stayed at the Sheraton Times Square New York for 3 nights and had an amazing weekend! The staff were super helpful especially the concierge and our room was nice. The only thing I would change, is the charge that they charge you to hold your bags. On the day we checked out, our flight didn’t leave until 7:30, so we had a full day to explore. Had to check our bags and were charged $6 apiece to store them while we were out. I just feel like a hotel this large and well known, could afford to offer this as an amenity to their guests. Overall, we had a great trip and this hotel was a perfect location for our stay!

It took us 3 hours to check in . They only had 1 person working the counter . If they knew they had a dance competition that day they needed more employees. The extra fee for 35 a day was crazy and still have to pay your own wifi . Never again

I was in town for a convention being held at the hotel. We arrived at 3:30 as check in was 4:00 assuming there would be a wait. We waited TWO HOURS on a line to check in and others that arrived later waited more than that! The hotel manager on duty had one person checking CUSTOMERS in and four others just standing around doing nothing. She made NO attempt to rectify the situation and had the AUDACITY to laugh in the face of people that complained and were paying to be there. There was still a two hour line at 9:30pm. The offered a free bottled water to people online. WOW. I did feel terrible to the poor woman that was the only one actually working while her manager pranced around being unhelpful and unapologetic. When we finally received our room, it was fine a little dated. There were rips in the sheets and the room was dusty. The bed was comfortable however, the housekeeper did not come to clean my room at all over my two night stay. Didn’t even pick up the trash that people on the floor left in the hall which I’m assuming they did because no one came to clean the room. Additionally if you don’t book direct, they charge you a daily resort credit per day to force you to spend money. Ifeel terrible for the convention as they have loyally supported this hotel for years and the hotel was completely apathic. If we are forced to return to that hotel next year, I will stay elsewhere. There are many options in the area. This is the absolute bottom of the barrel.

The staff were terrible, check in took hours and the staff didn’t seem bothered. There was a lot of misinformation being handed out which had you running around in saying more time. The room was very old and tired looking and smelt of stale cigarette smoke, just nasty. The TV and services were antiquated. It was like a hotel from the 80’s. I was only there for one night and I as I’ll else I would have made a bigger deal.

The check in process on Friday evening was 3 hours long. I stood in a line for 3 hours. There was only 1.5 attendees in a night where the hotel was sold out and had majority of the rooms checking in on Friday. I also was given a $30 credit per day to use at any of the dining spots onsite, including the gift shop but the attendant at the gift shop did not honor this. This hotel also does not offer mobile check-in and it would be best for the Marriott to not allow for mobile checkin if the hotel itself does not participate in mobile check-in

Dated, but a great location. The daily $30 fee is just to get you to buy their overpriced food. The kitchen was closed early one day, and the next day the food took 45 minutes for a quesadilla. Crowded place, lines for overpriced coffee long, but close to Times Square and subway stops.
