Unacceptable Cleanliness and Poor Service
I know this isn’t a five-star hotel, but I did expect basic cleanliness and respect. When I noticed what appeared to be handprints and dried body fluids on the wall and floor of my room, I immediately asked to be moved. The front desk refused, claiming there were no available rooms and that I shouldn’t be upset since I had already been there a day and “it hadn’t bothered me” before.
For the record, I arrived on April 2nd at 11:45 p.m., so I checked in shortly after midnight on the 3rd. I had breakfast later that morning and spent most of the day resting in bed. I only noticed the stains on the 4th.
I still asked if they could at least clean the area—they said it would be cleaned the next day. I returned on the 5th to follow up, and they told me it would be done before 4 p.m. However, the so-called cleaning never really happened. At most, it was a superficial wipe-down, and the issue remained unaddressed.
This situation was not only gross, but it was handled with complete indifference. There was no follow-up, no solution, and not even an apology. I expected much better from Comfort Inn and from a hotel listed on Expedia.
