Great experience and stay. Staff were exceptional and always to happy to help. The only down side was that my room was next to the railway main line and I could hear the nightclub from room. However these sounds were heavily muffled and didn’t take away from my sleep. I was only staying 1 night so didn’t feel the need to kick up a fuss

Love this place, it’s in the heart of Newcastle, has it’s own car park, is well priced but…the hotel has seen better days (our AC died on the first night) and it can be loud, particularly during the weekends.

Hotel was a great Location, the staff was fantastic Only one issue was the room had famaged catches for the window, so the heat in the room was really Hot. We had x2 Fans but that just pushed the heat around the room. The only issue was the windows. Everything else was 5 star from all

Nice but not perfect
Hotel is in a great location with free parking available. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Rooms are nice but a bit on the small side, OK if only staying for a few nights. The biggest issue was the heat in our room. It wasn't a particularly warm evening but our room was like an oven which meant a very uncomfortable night. There was a fan in our room but all it seemed to do was blow the hot air around. We had the window open all night but didn't make a difference.

The accommodation itself was really nice inside clean and spacious with excellent facilities. Very nice staff and in a great location for bars and restaurants Down sides for us mainly was no parking available at the Vermont apartment block. Parking is only available at the Vermont hotel. That’s a short distance away but up a steep hill that requires a good effort to return too. The only other issue for us was the extremely dense population of sea gulls in the area. They make a lot of noise and mess. They nest in the bridges that surround the property

Great friendly staff, located in the heart of Newcastle City centre. Rooms very mucky decorated. Food has some room for improvement. Breakfast was a buffet style full English with the addition of a continental. However the full English was put out and forgot about. Bacon like shoe leather, sausages shrivelled and dry. Two tone scrambled eggs. We looked ordered a light lunch from the bar to our room. Only we couldn't raise anyone from room service, bar or reception. So I had to walk down to order. When at the bar I found out the hotel had changed the menu and the choice I wanted wasn't available. Small point I know but they add up and lower my rating from a 5 to a 4
