Mariners cottage has become a well known home on the island dating back to the early 1920's. The cottage attracts several visitors and pedestrians walking by. The Cottage is one of the few on the island that will still take you back to its heritage though without depriving you of the luxuries of today. This 2nd story cottage is totally private with its own entrance and 1 covered parking space. There is one large bonus/bedroom with two queen beds adjacent to a full bath. The Bedroom overlooks the cottage courtyard. The space also offers a main living room equipped with an electric fireplace. A fully functioning kitchen with new appliances adjoins the living room. The home is fully stocked to include: dining and cookware, linens pillows and blankets, towels, iron, etc. There is an onsite washing machine and dryer free of charge. Enjoy an inviting outdoor patio with dining furniture for 4. Bicycles, water toys, and all the excursions you can imagine are available within walking distance!

The lower unit with accommodations for 4 additional guests is also available upon request if you have a larger party and would like to have both. This would include an additional complete home with kitchen, dining, living space, office, bedroom and full bath, as well as a large downstairs courtyard with hot tub. One additional parking space also included.

Perfect for Balboa Island
This the third time we have stayed at this apartment. Location is perfect for a stay at Balboa Island. Very clean and comfortable. Everything you need is there. Parking is included. We plan to return. Property manager is always a text away.

Great one bedroom!!
Wonderful one bedroom...The bedroom itself is quite large with 2 queen size beds, a very nice living room and kitchen. Very clean and welcoming, complete with a small outside area perfect to be able to enjoy the evening and barbeque. The carport is a plus with easy access to the unit. To top it all off, Chase was a wonderful host!

Wonderful upstairs cottage
We loved our stay here! The owner Chase is beyond wonderful. The check in process was a breeze. It’s super quiet, adorable and the location is perfect. Chase thought of everything, soap & shampoo, towels, cooking utensils and more, to make it feel like a home away from home. We loved walking to grab donuts in the morning, taking the ferry in the afternoons to ride e-bikes and take in the fun zone, etc.

We had a great stay. It was super clean and well supplied. Lots of outlets for our electronics. The breeze was amazing and we enjoyed the outside patio. The beds were very comfortable. We did use the heat and fireplace a few times and it kept everything warm and cozy. Close to the water and shopping. We would definitely recommend this wonderful place and hope to return again.

What a surprisingly comfortable stay! The beds were bigger and better than expected and we loved having space to hang and spread out our “stuff” on the many shelves and nightstands. Well equipped kitchen and enjoyed the patio BBQ. The fireplace was a nice touch. Look forward to returning!

Great location!
My husband and I stayed here so we could visit family in nearby Huntington Beach. The apartment is very clean, with modern updates. We enjoyed walking around Balboa Island every day. We hope to rent here again and again!
