Perfect family getaway
We had a great experience and so glad we chose this resort in Newport. The rooms and beds were comfortable and clean. The private serene location on its own small island added to the overall charm. This was a perfect getaway for our family.

Took a very long time for our room to be available. I also don’t like the fire pit reservation. Seems silly to reserve a fire pit and have no one sitting at them. They should be first come first served. For the room rates charged self parking should be included.

Everything was clean and new. Bar lounge was enticing. Bar areas need more staff, snacks, greater variety of cocktails. Rooms were clean and modern, with so many spots to plug in devices!!! Transportation doesn’t run enough and wasn’t consistent. Parking is expensive(of course) and not enough ev chargers. Gorgeous pool area.

Our check in experience was awful. Arrived at 6 and had dinner reservations at 7. Room wasn’t ready and we were told we could get dressed in the bathroom down the hall. We arrived for breakfast the next morning at 10:15 (breakfast was from 7am - 11am) and we were told due to staffing issues they couldn’t serve us. There are many more bad stories as well.

Renovation seems to be cosmetic. Room service not great. Several days and room never cleaned. Old food in fridge from previous guests. That being said restaurant and front desk staff friendly and helpful. Views beautiful and pleasant stay.
