Couldn't check in until 5:30pm as the pub was shut and no-one was onsite. Very welcoming staff, lovely food and overall well maintained. My room was upgraded at no extra charge, so had a lovely view of the stunning surroundings which was greatly appreciated. Would definitely stay here again.
I loved my stay here. My host and landlord, Gary, was very friendly and accommodating. The room was very comfortable with a fantastic power shower and comfy bed for the night.
The dining was wonderful and of an extremely high standard both with the quality of the food and the speed of service which was fantastically prompt.
The ambience created within the village pub meant you felt relaxed both with the locals and other guests staying there to the extent that I stayed on after my meal to participate in the quiz they hosted and took a very creditable third despite it being just myself taking part.
I would very much be looking out to stay here again when I am next in the area.
Had a lovely stay at the Kestor Inn over the May Bank Holiday weekend. All the staff made us feel really welcome, the rooms were comfortable and clean and the food was great. If it is sunny the bear garden is a lovely spot in the afternoon/evening. Good place to start a walk to Bowerman's nose and Hound Tor. Will visit again.
Our favourite place to stay on Dartmoor. The staff are fantastic. They go out of their way to accommodate every request. Rooms are always spotless and modern furnishings. Situated in the Dartmoor National Park it is the best location for exploring the outdoors. The food is delicious and homemade. Truly wonderful place to stay.

Beautiful area
It’s an old pub in a beautiful area, a few issues in the room, food was good, especially breakfast.
The host was very friendly and very helpful. Breakfasts were tasty and as the weather was so awful we had our evening meal there which was very good value for money and a good choice.
We received a very warm welcome and all staff were extremely welcoming and friendly - evening meal and breakfast was delicious and we would definitely like to return in the future
A most pleasant stay in chilly, wet, late November
Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights here. Breakfasts lovely
[ my favourite is the scrambled egg with smoked salmon ]
Suppers also delicious. Good menu selection with Sea Bass & Rump Steak being my choices ( on 2 different occasions - - I should add.! ). Dog friendly - which is important if you want to have your pooches with you which we did. Allocated a downstairs room which is delightful with excellent shower & loo facilities. Would we want to stay here again. You bet !! PRB
We stayed for one night en route to Falmouth. The hotel is very clean and the hosts are friendly, with nothing too much trouble. The food is fantastic also. Would highly recommend.
My 2nd stay here, and it was another awesome stay. This is located in a beautiful part of the country with breathtaking views topped with great customer service a selection of spirits, beer and food once you have stayed you will wantvto return again and again.
An awesome Inn which is perfectly located with amazing views! Extremely comfortable room topped with great customer service and a food and drink menu that will blow your mind.
I will definitely be coming back!
