I would say Westlodge is the absolute minimum in every way. The condition of the place was not good. While our room was mostly clean, there was some mildew in the shower and one of our towels was dirty; the arm chairs were dirty and wobbly; and the dresser had a broken drawer. There was a desk of sorts, but no chair for it. The wifi was pretty much nonexistent in the room; we (and everyone else apparently) had to go outside the room to get a signal. Breakfast was awful -- just packaged store bread and muffins, clearly watered-down juice, and some cereal. And it was like a feeding frenzy, with people jostling each other for toast and one of the too few places to sit. The staff member who maintained breakfast cleaned up by merely wiping things with napkins taken from the breakfast bar. After one "breakfast" there, we opted to eat our morning meals elsewhere (there's a great little Italian bakery with fresh bread and pastries and espresso, and the ever-present Tim Horton's, right down the street). I will say the room was surprisingly quiet for being on such a busy road, and the staff did give us some good tourist tips and fixed a wonky bed frame in our room quickly.
