Santa Maria Radisson Hotel Review
Much of the hotel appeared to be "under renovation". The bar was closed, the hot tub was not functioning, the ice machine had been removed, etc. The rooms were not clean or well maintained, i.e. we rented 2 rooms and the carpet was stained in both rooms, wall paper and window sills were peeling and water damaged, cobwebs in corners, windows filthy. The bed skirts were old/yellowed and shower curtains had multiple snags. I would have been a bit more understanding if i had been informed the hotel "was under renovation" when i reserved the rooms but I was not told this until we were checked in and asked where the hot tub was located. There should have been a discount offered for staying there. And lastly, i took pictures but this website will not allow me to upload them.

Staff was very friendly and generally a nice property, but room renovations were being done on or floor two rooms over and started at or before 8:00 in the morning. We were not warned at check-in.

Can do better—needs updating
Booked the best room—space and layout are great but the patio doors (both) were stuck shut (maintenance couldn’t open either) patio was dirty with bird droppings. Changed rooms, more sticky doors but useable— another dirty patio they promised to clean but never did. Shower drained so slow we had water up to our ankles, carpets stained, furniture tired. It is a convenient location for us and we have stayed several times but the decline is discouraging and we may have been driven away. Service is okay and sympathetic but poor upkeep is a serious issue for us.

Clean, comfortable. Cleaning lady walked in before we could answer knock. Could hear loud talking from the bar at night and from the breakfast crowd in morning. Recommend you request room away from inside lobby.

Checked into the first room I was given and the central ac was broken, there was a dusty rusted portable window ac connected to the window which was removed and replaced with cardboard (that was falling off). The wall paper was falling off and you could clearly see black mold along the window. The portable ac wasnt sufficient to cool the room down. The bedroom trash can had a pooped diaper and baby wipes in it and it was obvious the room wasnt thoroughly cleaned by housekeeping. In short, the room smelled like poop and was hot/humid. I went down and switched rooms and I was given another room with a working ac, but the bathtub had brown mold where the caulking was. There were homeless people living in their vehicles in the parking lot as well, which was worrisome because the hotel had poor lighting.
