I was expecting it to be even more kitschy in the hotel. We weren't there for long - last stop before catching an early flight.
The staff were super helpful and nice, the room was clean, and the location was great (waterfront and only 35min from the airport).
The main downside was the size of the room. A two-person bed up against the wall meant that I literally had to climb over my husband at 4am (trying so hard not to wake him) to use the bathroom. There are probably bigger rooms in the hotel, but I guess the budget room is not the way to go, unless you are on your own.
The walls were a bit thin, and i could hear a muffled conversation from the room next door.
It has a pretty intense sauna and a small, warm-ish hot tub.
Just a btw - the restaurant next door was best described as an Islandic Cracker Barrel (food wasn't bad, though).
