Inviting Lakeside Cottage for You

Welcome to our little piece of heaven on pristine Embden Pond. This 5 mile long lake is perfect for swimming, boating, and fishing. This area is a natural beauty of woods, wildlife, and rivers. Our included boat slip makes your boating easier. Pick your season and enjoy your favorite sport: boating, skiing, hiking, canoeing, foliage, four wheeling, hunting, or snowmobiling.

3 bedrooms offer a queen sized bed, 4 bunk beds, and a full sized bed. Our kitchen has a stovetop, counter oven, refrigerator freezer, microwave, and coffee maker. The full sized bathroom has an enclosed shower. The living room has cable TV, DVD, and wireless Internet. We include a charcoal barbeque and porch chairs for you to enjoy the large deck around the cabin.

Golf and Lakewood Summer Theater are short drives away. A laundromat is nearby.

Step out of the living room French door to enjoy a beautiful view of the lake. The lake and swimming area are about 300 feet from the camp.

The camp is part of an association and the common area is open to all.
Make yourself comfortable in this air-conditioned cabin, which features a fireplace. There's a private balcony or patio. A kitchen is outfitted with a refrigerator, a stovetop, and a microwave. The location was great - good view too. The place was larger than expected and very open. It had everything we needed. The only downside was the small shower, other than that everything was great!

Overall the cabin was nice. Had plenty of supplies and the beds were comfortable. We didn't use all of the beds just a couple. The heavy traffic and speeding trucks were sort of scary. Wondered if they were going to hit the cabin. The place was clean and rustic. The wooden counter was beautiful.

Cute cottage near beautiful lake
My family and I rented this house to ski at Sugarloaf and see the total eclipse in April 2024. The house was perfect for our purposes. The house is in a community with shared spaces and is a 40 minute drive to the mountain. We enjoyed the communal fire pit and made friends with neighbors. Note that in order to get into the bedroom with the full size bed, you will have to walk through the bedroom with the bunk beds. Loved our stay!

The host was very accommodating and easy to get a hold of when needed. This is a seasonal cabin and needed to be opened and aired out much earlier than our arrival. The cabin was well cleaned and stocked with the necessities. Pest control should be a priority especially during the colder months when left unoccupied.

Overall the location of the cabin was amazing. Amazing views. The size of the cabin was just perfect for what we needed. Things to improve would be to have someone come in and clean before guests arrive. There were a lot of spiders and we had a mouse that visited with us. He had left poop in a lot of places in the cabin. Another suggestion would be to have dehumidifiers. Every night when going to bed the beds were extremely damp to the point of almost not being able to sleep in them.

Nice, roomy camp with great deck!
This camp is nice with plenty of open area for family to gather. The Beds were very comfortable, the deck is large and great for gathering (we played cornhole on the deck). It is a little walk to the water, not bad but if you want to be able to see your boat, fishing gear etc. it isn't possible from this camp and the boat slip at the common dock is further than something you want to be making several trips to and from. Sometimes it seemed tricky being sure of what was and wasn't common area access. Overall a nice area and a quiet little community. The owner was very pleasant and communicaton was good! Thank you!

Lovely camp
Lovely camp, amazing countertops and plenty of space for the whole family. Unfortunately the camp is a duplex and the outside space is in full view of your neighbors. The beach is lovely but a bit far from the cabin. The shared area ls are nice but the shared fire pit was full of leaves and grass cuttings so it was unusable, our kids were pretty disappointed that we couldn’t have a fire and make s’mores.

Carlton was very flexible and responsive. The stay was exactly what we needed for a few days away with our sons. Our oldest 2 enjoyed golfing close by while the youngest spent time fishing. Embden Pond and this camp are both recommended by our family!

A very nice place to stay
We really enjoyed our stay. The owner was quick to respond and very helpful. The cabin was clean, spacious and well-stocked. We had a bit of trouble at first trying to find the small beach on the pond but once Carlton, the owner, directed us we had a good time swimming. There's a really nice wrap-around deck with a grill and table for outdoor dining. I would definitely recommend the cabin and the area. Very nice!!
