Our waterfront cabin is a fully modern four season retreat with everything that you need for a great stay! We have a perfect location with AMAZING close up river and mountain views from most windows!
Walk out the front door and you can fish, swim, float, bike, hike or just relax in an Adirondack chair in front of the Sacandaga River. Sit out on the deck and watch the eagles and osprey dive for fish! Walk five minutes to the left and see the nearby waterfalls! Our home is located on the Sacandaga River, at the tip of the Great Sacandaga Lake, where you can also spend a day on the water. The quaint town of Northville is a 5 minute drive and has many restaurants and shops. We are conveniently located next to the Adirondack Park and the Northville-Placid trail for great hiking. This unique vacation home is also a great winter getaway. Just minutes away from Lapland Lake for XC-skiing and close to Gore, Royal, and Oak Mountains for downhill skiing or snow tubing! The house is located between 2 lakes for ice-fishing and snowmobiling. It is only a 45 minute drive from Lake George and Saratoga Racetrack.
This is a pretty wood home that brings the Adirondack feel to your living space.
In the winter you will love to warm up in front of the remote controlled gas stove! Or try our heated double jacuzzi after a day on the slopes! On the first floor there is an open concept fully equipped kitchen and living room. There is also a master bedroom and a large bath with indoor hot tub/ jacuzzi and laundry.
Outside there is a large front deck and a screened in porch.
Upstairs are 2 more bedrooms and another half bath.
You will find that the house is well appointed with everything that you need. You won't need bottled water here! Our water comes from a deep drilled well and is double filtered for taste and purity. It has also been tested by the state of NY.
You can rest assured that our cabin is super clean and completely sanitized. Your safety and well being is our top priority and we have implemented extra measures to ensure that all surfaces in the cabin have been sanitized. Every doorknob and cabinet has been wiped and sprayed. Linens are sanitized in the washer too! All dishes are sanitized too! Read our reviews! We are very serous about cleanliness!

Beautiful Setting Sun or Snow
We very much enjoyed our stay at this wonderful cabin. We were belted with 6 inches of snow the day after arrival, which was beautiful. Thankfully, the owners left very detailed and well thought out instructions to not park under the roof overhang. If I wouldn't have known, our car would have been buried in a couple feet of snow a day later when all of the snow slid off the roof. The cabin is well equipped with top notch appliances, very comfortable beds and all of the meal preparation related items you could need. It was probably the cleanest rental we have ever stayed in. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Best little getaway!
This was exactly what we were looking for when we were planning a weekend away. It is 10 minutes driving distance from the little town, which has a Stewarts, restaurant, Chinese food, pizza place, and a Tops. The atmosphere was so peaceful, right on the water with a beautiful view. We spent a lot of time around the fire pit just listening to nature - would definitely visit again!

Great Adirondack House
We loved our stay at this fantastic Northville House. It is a warm and cozy place with a wonderful screened in porch and a fantastic deck overlooking the Scanadaga River. The Kitchen provided everything one needs to create great meals. The living room has very comfortable chairs and couch with a good size tv that connects to any of the streaming platform. The bedrooms are a good size and the beds are so comfortable. We highly recommend this place for anyone looking to get away in comfort in the midst of beauty

Amazing Weekend
Had an amazing weekend celebrating my father’s retirement. The house was amazing, gorgeous views and the sound of the river flowing was so peaceful. While this was my first time renting a home, my father and brother have a lot of experience, they both said it was their favorite stay. They loved the notes displayed throughout the house giving detailed instructions and information about the home. The large binder filled with information was amazing we read through it and used the information inside to rent a boat for the day, had an amazing time on the lake fishing and soaking in the sights. It was an amazing weekend spent with family in an amazing home. Thank you so much for a great weekend!

Beautiful location - Wonderful homeowners
This property was the perfect get away location for our group of friends looking for rest and relaxation. We happened to visit during the biggest snowfall of the winter and watching the snow come down with the beautiful river in the background was so very peaceful. The property itself is immaculate. The beds are very comfortable. The woodstove is a charming touch. The property owners communication was fantastic. We were concerned about snow removal given the situation but the owners ensured that things were covered in a timely manner. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this property.

Fantastic getaway
The property looked amazing on the VRBO site - but was even better in real life! We loved relaxing in the house while enjoying the beautiful view of the river. The house was clean, warm and homey and was very well equipped. There were many options for beautiful hikes in the vicinity but our favorite was hiking on the road along the river. We would highly recommend this house and fully intend on returning.

Perfect getaway!
Our experience at Bjorn and Sharon’s cabin has been wonderful. Everything was spotless and prepared for us to have the best time. The hosts’ have been very hospitable from the beginning to the very end. They were very generous to share ideas with us for activities to do in the area. There was a weather alert in the area and Bjorn kindly texted us to ensure we were informed. The cabin is well stocked with all utensils for cooking. You will also find books to get yourself educated about the surroundings, different trail routes and history of the area. What is not to like at Bjorn and Sharon’s cabin! We would love to come back! Feeling very grateful for them to share this gem in such gorgeous part of the world! Thank you!

Lovely riverfront cabin.

Relaxing retreat with incredible view
We had a wonderful stay! The house was very clean and cozy. The location is great, with many hiking trails only a short drive away. The view of the river and mountains from the many windows and front deck is amazing! The kitchen was well equipped. In the evenings we really enjoyed sitting by a fire next to the river with the relaxing sound of the water.

Lovely little house in a great location
Our family had a great time staying here. The house was incredibly clean and well-kept. We had everything we needed for a relaxing trip in a gorgeous setting with all the comforts and conveniences of home (dishwasher, laundry, linens/towels, tableware, etc.) -- greatly appreciated when you are traveling with a tot! The house is quiet and peaceful, tucked away in a lovely spot by a river. The mattresses were a little soft for our taste but the bedrooms were cozy and quiet otherwise. We enjoyed sitting on the porch, admiring the gorgeous river views, listening to the water and watching the birds. Just down the road is the town of Northville, a quintessential Adirondack village. We loved J.F Farmstore, the five and dime, the ice cream place... it really had everything you needed, including a grocery store, gas station, and playground. We look forward to coming back for another stay soon! Thank you!!

Property wonderful- clean and so cute. we carefully waded in the river across street and it was so refreshing We saw shooting stars from porch and enjoyed a bonfire near the water. We rented boat to cruise the Great Sacandaga Lake- We did the Rail Ride- such a fun adventure We hiked the Tenant trail to waterfalls- glad we had our hiking sticks- trail was rocky and uneven,but it so worth it! Bjorn had encouraged us to check when restaurants were open - cause some stuff in area closed Monday or Tuesday- but we were able to find some great food and beverages! We were comfortable and enjoyed our stay so much! Thank you!

The perfect getaway
The view from almost every room is just beautiful. We really enjoyed the deck and the screen porch. Also, the layout of the rooms was nice to gather, but also allowed an escape to find a quiet place to read and relax. This house was spotless, has high quality appliances and large washer/dryer. The location was very close to the Sacandaga and the town.

Perfect Escape for all ages!
I’m a newly single mom of 4 (3, 10, 14, 15) and we needed and deserved a relaxing and enjoyable getaway and this was the PERFECT trip! I was a little nervous being my first trip alone with my babies but man we had a blast! We drove 4 hours and even the drive was beautiful. The house was exactly as listed and extremely clean! I packed a cooler full or groceries before we left to be safe not knowing how close a store would be but Tops was literally 11 minutes away and the small Town of Northville was great! We took advantage and walked the streets checking out the small shops and fell in love with the JF Family Farm/Store and picked up some goodies from there multiple times. We grabbed souvenirs from the 5, 10, 25 cent shop as well. We checked out the Mayfield Beach was beautiful and perfect for a day there! It cost $15 for the day and you can come and go as you please. Back at the house we checked out the waterfall down the street which was beautiful and took full advantage of the river each day. We brought tubes and a rope and had an awesome time floating on the River was quite eventful getting the hang of it though hahaha we made s’mores by the fire, watched an amazing thunderstorm over the water on our last full day there and took advantage of the puzzles and board games that were at the house, we had fun searching for bears in the house, we grilled almost everyday and truly just enjoyed the tranquility of it all. Was absolutely perfect! THANK YOU!

Beautiful home away from home
This is a beautiful, well-kept home in a great location. It's secluded enough to feel serene, but close to town and shops. We stayed as a family with two young kids as a way to get closer to activities in the Adirondacks, and there are also good local options too. We did have an issue beyond the owners' control, but they were responsive and accommodating. The housekeeper does a fantastic job. This place is truly clean. I'm often a bit skeptical of the cleanliness of rental houses, but not here. I also appreciated that we did not have to lug our own towels with us. There were plenty available for us. The check in and check out process is smooth and reasonable. You really can't go wrong choosing this home.
