I’m so happy I decided to spend my 30th Birthday here!! Everyone was so nice and showed great hospitality! Irene the front desk staff was so sweet and accommodating. The food at the main restaurant was pretty good and I didn’t even bother trying out the other two restaurants. I will definitely be returning!!

Wonderful
This is a great choice for a relaxing break. The facilities are excellent and the hotel is more than adequately staffed, who cannot be faulted - efficient, helpful, and all with a smile on their faces. The whole place was spotlessly clean and the grounds, the beach and the garden exquisitely maintained. The quality and the variety of food available for each meal is incredible, with the menu changing every day. The two points that need attention are (1) controlling the traders on the beach so that they are not pestering anyone obviously not interested in buying anything, and (2) the luggage trolleys going along the corridors to the rooms facing the beach can be a bit noisy as those corridors can act like a bit of an echo chamber. But these are minor points in the grand scheme of things.

This was a wonderful vacation experience. I would have rated my stay higher if not for the construction work being done on the north side of the property. It was very loud, and quite a scenic takeaway, considering that I booked a room with a balcony and ocean view. Aside from this let down, the staff, events, food, and overall property were lovely.

I always choose Riu for my stay while on vacation for the pass 7 years. Unfortunately this time on my booking, I requested a sea view room. Since my checking was after 9:00pm. I was so tired I just went strait to bed. to waking up the next day by construction noise and this last all day. When I went to investigate what was going on. instead of partial sea vieux, I got noisy construction went to the lobby and file so I can get a portion of the rental payment return to me. I never heard anyone until I left.

Besides the AMAZING staff members, the resort cuts out of power every other hour. Making it challenging to charge devices or to keep the room at a cool temperature. Hour room was out of power today for over 2 hours before check out. Beautiful resort though.

Staff amazing they cannot do enough. Room 1st room i was told was upgraded but what they gave me was a downgrade. I opened the balcony doors and the view i had was a construction site for a nee hotel being built. The noise was intolerable as it started at 7am and continued well intonthe nightpast 9pm. I complained and was moved the following day to another room away from the noise and site. The new room came with a blocked sink and a shower that leaked into my room through the wall. I had to complain again the sink was fixed but the leak from the shower was not and we had tonuse towels to mop up the water. We always had to ask for towels as they would not be left after the room was cleaned but this was easily rectified by a quick call to reception. I have to say that the staff at the restaurants where amazing and attentive. Food was fanatastic even for a veggie like me lots of variety everyday. All in all it was a pleasant stay, location outside of the hotel was not great. The beach and sea were magical, plenty of sun longers etc. Check in could be better as our flight arrived at 7am and we could not get a room till 3pm but we did have full use of the hotel facilities.

We’ve never booked with RIU resort’s, and now we know why. Noisy beds and housekeeping can’t clean properly. Property is very lovely. Beach area is ok, but you will be harassed by locals. Some of the staff have attitude issues also. Will be returning to Africa, but won’t use RIU ever again

This resort is perfect. We had absolutely no complaints. Food was excellent. Staff was excellent. If we needed anything for our room, it was provided immediately. We booked safari, Safari Blue, Snorkeling and jet skiing through the hotel and they were very reasonably priced and exceptional. Thank you Rui Jambo for helping to make our visit to your island truly memorable.
