The Townsend is still a nice hotel but it is getting old and they charge an amenity fee which is ridiculous!

Gorgeous, comfortable luxury hotel
A classic luxury hotel, with thoroughly modern features and furnishings. Located in downtown Birmingham, its right at the center of ao many wonderful bars, restaurants, and stores. The staff is amazing, helpful, and friendly. The rooms are spotless, and exceptionally comfortable! Everything is clean and well cared for. The only problem is you'll have a hard time getting out of bed, its so comfortable! I always love staying here!

Beautiful hotel, sheets had “old” smell, shower had orange(mold or rust) grout. Very friendly staff. Toilet ran on and off all night, other mechanical “sounds” and annoying blue light coming from some device at top of wall….. sleep was not great.

What an amazing hotel!! The staff was so friendly! The hotel is located in the perfect area to shop and dine! This is one of the fanciest hotels I have ever stayed at we will definitely be back!
