Modern 1-bedroom garden apartment in Berkeley Victorian

This newly built, beautifully furnished private garden apartment is close to everything, making it easy to plan your visit. You are blocks away from Berkeley institutions like the Cheese Board, Chez Pannise, and the Monterey Fish Market, and walking distance from UC Berkeley Campus, downtown Berkeley, and various parks. The apartment is newly built, with a beautifully furnished modern interior appointed with artistic modern and vintage furniture and original art. There is a heat pump with AC and heating making it a comfortable year round.

The apartment is on the first floor of a large old Victorian, and we live upstairs. It is fully separate from the upstairs home and has a separate entrance. The apartment is around 650 square feet, and divided into an open kitchen/living room space (where the pull out couch is located) and then a separate bedroom (with black-out curtains) and office area, and bathroom with shower and tub. It's bright and airy an opens directly onto a large garden (that is shared with us upstairs). There are vegetable beds, mature fruit trees, shady areas to relax, a lawn to sprawl out on, and a butterfly and hummingbird garden. There are also ducks in the front yard for added fun (and eggs!).

Make yourself comfortable in this air-conditioned apartment, featuring a kitchen with a refrigerator and an oven. There's a private patio. A Smart television is provided for your entertainment. Conveniences include a desk and a microwave.

Cute but VERY loud
Rental was very cute, clean and in a convenient location. Communication was timely and helpful. However, it was VERY loud. Unit is in basement and it was akin to being the bottom unit of a cheap apartment. The owner’s children woke us up at 630am. Then construction on the main house started at 9am. Would not recommend if you want a quiet stay.

Unexpected quiet stay
This location is under the main home. You park on the street and walk down a small driveway, you have an opening to the one bedroom location. Full washer/dryer dishwasher. The shower is rainwater, and the heater works great no issues. The backyard is full of citrus trees and fresh herbs. They also have ducks in the front yard so cute. They do not wake you up in the morning since they are in the front of the property. The location is comfortable and safe no issues. Check in and check out seamless. Communication with host was timely and polite. No issues. Bed was large and comfortable.
