Best hostel in Beppu
This is the cleanest and most modern hostel in Beppu. I have stayed twice this month and will stay again in early April with about five friends. I like the location and cleanliness, but as important is the kitchen and dining room. The room is big enough to easily fit 30 people. This makes is perfect for groups because we have a place to meet and talk besides the dorm bedrooms. It is less than 5 minutes from the train station, a market, a grocery store and many restaurants.

The best kind of guesthouse
Super 8 bed male dorm room for 3 nights. No problems at all. Very clean and good amenities. Host is so kind and helpful as well. Lounge area is cosy and has free hot drinks. Showers and toilets always very clean too.

It is really close to Beppu JR station, despite it could be a little tricky to find at first, as its main door locates in the an alley. Reception is closed between 11am and 4pm and after 10pm til the next morning, you won't have too much interaction with the staff. The common area is spacious and well equipped. There are 3 100 yen public hot spring nearby.

Super close to Beppu station, new and clean
I arrived early. Although I could not check in until 4pm, all I had to do was leave my luggage in one of the lockers available at the front entrance, set my password, and off I go. I was surprised by the large front communal area which was brightly lit and very welcoming. They also had a row of comic books along the corridor. The female dorm was big, which made AC circulation a bit difficult, but they provided fans also. WIFI was fast. Mattress was a bit thin- but had the same experience in Fukuoka and Kagoshima - so maybe it's standard?

Private room in hostel, great location
Situated about 3 min walk from Beppu Station we found the guest house an excellent place to stay. As it's close to the station it's very easy to get buses to the tourist attractions such as the Jigoku or sand baths, getting the bus back is easy too as most of the buses destination is the station. The guest house was clean, the staff spoke very good english and we were really happy we found such a nice place, as Beppu itself seems a little run down in general. The only issue we really had was the Private Rooms have doors made of a sort of leather material and then the top 2 feet or so above the door has no wall onto the corridor. People who get up before you e.g 5am (which happened both nights) will turn on the corridor light and make lots of noise going in and out the corridor and I was unable to sleep. I guess this is something to be expected in a hostel but didn't expect it for the Private Room.

Easy to see from a parallel street, but dodgy to find the way in at first. Relatively quiet until drunken guests stumble in at 1am completely disregarding the very clear signage about keeping noise levels down. A few people also disrespected the rule by talking loudly in their room or watching movies on their portable device without headphones. This is not the guest house's fault - people just generally have no respect for shared living spaces. Otherwise, the experience was very pleasant, though some might find the bunks a little hard (mattress is a little flimsy).

Very good and near the Beppu station.
I spent 2 nights at the guest house and i really appreciated. The facility is new, so everything was in great condition. wide sharing area,cozy, clean room, and the location is convenient for access to the station.

New and clean guest house, super close to station
The guest house was super clean and new, and it was only 3-5min walk away from Beppu station which was super close and convenient to downtown and bus stops as well. There was a wall filled with manga, various updated magazines were also provided, along with a nice kitchen with cute mugs and tea, coffee etc. The bathrooms were super clean with body soap and shampoo provided. The experience was fantastic and they also gave us a free ticket to a near by local hot spring. The price was very reasonable. Really recommend staying here.

清掃も行き届いて、においもなく快適でした。目の前が市営の有名な温泉なので、ホステルのシャワーを使わないこともありました。駅近ですが、ホントに路地裏なので見つけるまで心配でしたが、覚えたらハマります！

사람들이랑 어울리는것 싫어하는 아싸의 첫 게스트하우스
게스트하우스는 처음이었습니다. 제 생각으로는 충분히 깨끗하고 있어야할만한건 다 있었고 수건이랑 여행에 맞는 갈아입는 옷만 챙기면 될거같습니다. 샤워실에 샴푸랑 바디도 있었습니다. 게스트하우스이기 때문에 같은 공간에서 잔다는점만 고려하셔서 오시면 될거같습니다. 일본어 읽을줄 아시면 만화도 구비되어있으니 심심할일은 없을듯 합니다.
