Everything about El Albergue is incredible. Beautiful rooms and outdoor sitting areas, comfy bed, wonderful service. The entire property is spectacular with gardens, a distillery and coffee roasting. The morning breakfast was perfect before a day of exploring Ollantaytambo. The close proximity to the train station was also a plus! Oh and the restaurant and Cafe Mayu...So good! I hope I can return one day as I just loved the warmth of this hotel as well as the town of Ollantaytambo.

Location next to train was so fun!! Lotsbof life here but quiet at night. Good food, wonderful staff especially Luis and wonderful grounds...go back to the organic farm behind property.

Excellent place , right on railroad so can be noisy during night , but it is also is the charm about this property . Phenomenal food and breakfast. Beautiful garden and farm . Highly recommend for two nights , Ollantaytambo is beautiful and ruins and walk to ruins is beautiful.

Lovely hotel great decor with beautiful surroundings and an amazing restaurant, we loved it so much that we ate there most days. You do hear the trains but that didn't impact our sleep.

We loved this property, and its location to the train is perfect. Our only complaint was that there was no a/c. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the restaurant was amazing! They prepared box breakfasts since we were leaving early and held our luggage overnight until we returned from our Inca Trail hike. I highly recommend this property.

The place looks adorable but the problem with this place is that you smell diesel fuel all night long and you hear the train bell ring and the horn go off all night long. Staff is a little deceiving as they tried to add extra things to your bill and services. We asked the staff to weigh our laundry so we know how much to pay them for washing it. I watched her go around the corner and lay it down and then come back within one second and gave us a weight. As soon as she left, thinking, that was a little too quick I went around the corner to see the weight and it was not there so she made up the weight. The weight seemed way heavier than what it felt to me so we got gouged a little more that way as well.

Absolutely loved this property. Gorgeous setting, incredible views from the balcony. It is actually in the train station - so if train sounds bother you, that can be a problem. We love trains, so it was fine. Highly recommend. Lovely organic farm and coffee roasters on site.

This is a great place located right at the train station in Ollantaytambo, you would think it would be noisy but rooms are set back in a quiet tropical garden setting with farmland just outside the gate. Fantastic staff, clean rooms. Amazing food in the restaurant, short walk to the main square.

Very nice hotel
It's a great hotel with beautiful gardens. The food is grown on their farm on the same property so is good and healthy. You can take a short cut to the archeological site on the path that also takes you to their farm. I liked the location. I was concerned with being right at the train ststion, but we didn't hear the trains.

Amazing stay that is eco/culturally conscious
This is my second stay at El Aubergue and it never disappoints! Lovely ecofriendly hotel with on site farm to table restaurant and coffee shop directly adjacent to the train to Machu Picchu. Don’t miss the tour of the on site farm! Also, the owner has crafted an elegant and culturally respectful environment that even includes a primary school on the property for children in Ollantaytambo!
