I have stayed at this hotel many, many nights over a couple years. We are very loyal and have always had an excellent time. This time was terrible. The pool was closed. We received no notice about this after booking so I could not cancel my book. My children wanted some fruit during breakfast. They had eaten at 7 am and wanted a "snack" at 9:30. Breakfast closes at 10 am. They denied my children a snack even though it was still within the stated hours of breakfast. I can understand if adults are not allowed but children should be allowed to take a bit of food. Most of it is going to waste anyways so what difference does it make. In almost every hotel I've stayed at around the world, taking a few snacks for my kids have never been an issue, unless otherwise noted on the website or at the breakfast area. I have asked other times and the employees never have a problem with it. Not only that, the employees were laughing and talking about my family in Norwegian as if we did not understand what they were saying. Very poor form. Never talk about clients while working on the floor. There is no reason to laugh or talk about a client. We are paying customers and if we want to get a snack, that should not be a big deal. WIth all the choices for hotel in Oslo, I could use my 2500 NOK a night and spend it somewhere else. We will not return.
