The Santa Barbara hotel is in the old section of Ordino but it is nearly impossible to find. Our GPS took announced we had arrived but there was no indication anywhere of the hotel. We drove around for many minutes and finally decided to park the car and enter the pedestrian area on foot to see if we could find it. Someone in a local store pointed us in the right direction but without that there is absolute zero indication of where the hotel is located. Once we came in the concierge explained we could drive into the pedestrian section but needed a special device to open the gate the bars the route. Parking is also very tight. Br prepared!
Staff are very welcoming and hotel is very clean, comfortable and well situated for a visit to Andorra. However, though Andorra is very picturesque, in a very mountainous region, there is little to do their unless you are a major fan of duty free shopping. The entire country ls like one vast airport duty free Emporium. Not sure if the prices of the high end luxury items justify it but prices for perfumes etc are same or even lower on Amazon. But if you are driving it is a great place to refuel as the petrol prices are apparently all tax free and a third lower than either in France or in Spain. Wish I had Known that before I filled up petrol in Perpignan! Pleased we stopped there, but I would not return unless passing through from Spain to France or vice versa.
