Snow Cone Point - located on Elephant Lake - Solitude, serenity and immersed in nature. Our beautiful cabin home sits upon a hill overlooking a peaceful lake. The private peninsula includes twenty-five acres of forest, hiking trails and a quiet lakeside retreat.
Activities are plentiful in the surrounding communities and the adjoining thousands of acres of State and Federal Land! Voyageur County ATV trails are easily accessible, just off of the driveway. There are HUNDREDS of miles of beautiful trails to explore. In the winter, trade your ATV in for a snowmobile and explore additional trails! If quiet time in nature is more your style, there are trails and areas to explore throughout the 25 waterfront acres. Sit around a campfire at night under a sky filled with stars!
In the summer ... lake activities like fishing, boating and kayaking are a great way to spend the day! We do have four kayaks available for you to use while you’re here. Bring your own boat (the boat launch is very close) or rent a boat from the resort across the lake! Head out on the lake or fish right off the dock!
The 3-bedroom log cabin is warm and inviting. All three bedrooms are located on the main floor. There is a large kitchen and dining room for meals and game nights! The basement is currently unfinished, but has a ping-pong table, foosball table and a TV with a DVD player for rainy days. Keep in mind that the cabin might be best for fully supervised or older kiddos (the staircase and porch railings are rather open, and the nearby water and forested areas need to be taken into consideration!) The cabin does have Wi-Fi, but no cable television. Phone coverage is decent within the cabin but can be limited elsewhere on the property (and on the drive in!). This property will offer you a perfect opportunity to disconnect and listen to the loons in the morning, while sipping coffee on the porch swing!
Our beautiful home is surrounded by nature. You may see wolves (or hear them!), coyotes, fox and deer. We have grouse, turkeys, loons and swans. Neighbors have seen bear, moose .... keep your eyes peeled for all of the animals on your drive in! We must advise that you drive a larger vehicle (small SUV or larger), to accommodate for ground clearance. The driveway is long, winding and has quite a few large rocks. It is also best to plan to drive in during daylight hours, as we really are remote and phone service is limited on the drive in. Due to the private nature of this property, emergency services are approximately a 25 minute drive.
There is significant space on the driveway for an RV, motorhome or tent. Reach out for more information on pricing to include added persons. There are no RV hook-ups on site.
We are looking forward to helping you make lifelong memories at Snow Cone Point!
