Unit was inexpensive and value for money. The hotel is kept very neat and clean, and the mattresses are very comfortable. Showers and bathrooms are cleaned regularly and kept in good shape.
It isn't that central for touring for Osaka, but not too far out of the way.
This property gives the illusion that it’s a normal family friendly hotel. However, it is more like a hostel. Right from the beginning, they don’t ask for ID, just hand you a key. The rooms are decent sized but you’ll hit your head on the ceiling if not careful. There are community bathrooms on each level. And if you are on level 6, there is no elevators, you must take the stairs which are small and narrow, not handicap friendly at all. It’s more traditional so shoes need to come off when you get onto the floors. The shower in the room doesn’t look like it’d been cleaned in a long while, the drain was clogged and overflowing. The bed was beyond squeaky and extremely uncomfortable. The walls were so thin you could hear the person in the next room talking. It says to be quiet after 10pm, but the amount of kids screaming all night makes the noise request seem like a joke. The area around is down a sketchy alley filled with drunk pervy men who sit on the sidewalk. The cops walk around here in patrols of 3 and are heavily armed which you don’t see in most places in Japan. All in all, not what was expected at all and highly disappointed.
Toilet is not in the room itself, have to share with others in a communal corridor.
Walls are really thin and its easy to be heard by neighbours. The wooden floor board is creaky and gives off a really creepy vibes. They only issue you physical key (not key cards), in addition, you are unable to ask for duplicate keys which sucks when travelling with a group. The shower space is so small that its almost impossible to not wet your towel. Stayed 1 night before moving into another hotel (already paid for 7 days worth). When asking for a refund, the hotel declined to even refund any of the days due to their 'policy'.
Stayed here with my partner and very much enjoyed our stay. Comfy beds and elevators were a luxury compared to others we have stayed with similar prices. Close to public transport, izakayas and supermarkets. We were lucky with our room position being away from the shared areas, I can imagine that it would be quite loud trying to sleep next to the hallway with shared toilet or sink areas. Yes the surrounding area was a bit rough but I never felt unsafe, we found it an interesting experience and liked that there wasn’t loads of other tourists. A microwave on each floor would be better as it was a bit of an effort to have to get out of my pyjamas and put shoes on to come down to reception just to warm up a snack. Would stay here again.

Liked: Staff & service
Disliked: Amenities
The staff might be limited which led them to not have enough time to take care of things. The hot water for the showers are unstable on the 4th floor and overall the stay wasn't that great. But the beds themselves are comfortable.

This is not a hotel. It is a hostel. Shared bathrooms/showers. While is was clean, teens/young adults use this place to get drunk and party all night. Kids 6 and under cannot stay here, so that should give you an idea of the living conditions. The surrounding area is very dirty. Lots of homeless people. There is even a homeless camp set up where they line up for food/drink just around the corner of this hostel. This hostel is also located right next to train tracks (but not next to a station). Unless you are ateen/young adult looking to party with friends all night, we do not recommend staying here.
The guy on the desk reserved a restaurant for us as we couldn't understand the instructions to do so as it was in Japanese. It was a very nice thing to do. I would highly recommend this hotel and it isn't too far from the red light district about a 5-7 minute walk.
