This hotel was well reviewed by others so I went for it. The hotel itself was clean and bright and perfectly located to shopping, food and train access. The from desk staff was kind, not particularly over the top but kind indeed.
The room however was very disappointing for us. Our bathroom had either no or poor ventilation (and I assume this is for much of the hotel) so our bathroom was humid and smelled of old urine. I complained and staff offered us a new room but upon checking it out, the bathroom smelled the same so I made the assumption it was a building issue, not a room issue and stayed where I was. There is quite an apparent dilapidation of the hotel once you get to the room floors. The carpets feel dirty and are especially worn on the edges of the hallways and you can see wallpaper peeling in various areas.
Weird note on our room, I found it very difficult to sleep with the covers as I don't like to be "tucked in" and their duvets are covered in a way that require you to be "tucked in" or the duvet and cover get all jumbled up and you wind up in a blanket mess. Hard to explain but not cozy for sure.
The hotel breakfast offered enough variety for everyone to be happy and was a very good deal and an easy way ensure no-one started the day off hangry.
There is a 24 hr convenience store in the hotel which was also super helpful and "convenient."
All in all, if you are staying for a layover or a quick stop, this place will suffice - not good for more than a night
