I love food. Now, usually (at least in America), when an inexpensive hotel says "continental breakfast," you expect a little stand with some bland-tasting muffins and an old, bubbling coffee maker. Not so at R & B. The service is wonderful, and they will greet you upon seeing you, in the morning, saying "ohaiyougazaimasu" when you come downstairs for breakfast. The food is a selection of freshly baked goods, hot soups, coffee and boiled eggs seasoned through the shell (no salt required).
I also like cleanliness, and lots of amenities. The room is very cleanly, and, although a little small, it makes up for it in what's offered: you get a bathtub and shower, bidet toilet, A/C, a small desk, fridge, TV (you must pay for cable; in Japanese), and a large black-out window overlooking the city.
The location is also very convenient, and Umeda Station is only a ten-minute walk away (less if you fast walk), and there's also quite a few shopping arcades you can go shopping at or go to grab a bite to eat at authentic Japanese, or even foreign, eateries. Not to mention, there's also a Donquijote with tax-free shops inside!
P.S. The staff mostly speaks Japanese, but one could speak English when I was there. Even so, they will accommodate you as best they can. There's even an information sheet in English.
Overall, I highly recommend this place if you want to stay somewhere affordable, and, at the same time, not have to sleep in a capsule hotel or settle for somewhere less comfortable.
