Our visit to Pag was enhanced by our stay at Apartments Villa Franci. We had a warm reception, and were introduced to an extremely well-maintained accommodation, with a balcony overlooking the harbor. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with modern kitchen appliances (including oven) and bathroom; honestly, the apartment appeared "brand new". The property is located just a few minutes' walk from restaurants and from "Old Town" and its harbor. Our hostesses were VERY friendly and helpful, and we had a good conversation. Pag is an interesting old town with a rich history in the "Salt Trade"; Pag is also known for its Lace production and its sheep cheese (YES... we purchased 1/2 pound of cheese, and it was consumed in about 2 days - DELICIOUS). If approaching Pag from the south, the island is reached via a bridge; if leaving Pag to the north, or approaching Pag from the north, the access is via a ferry boat.
