Welcome to Wexler Modern Villa! A mid-century modern home designed by accomplished architect, Donald Wexler. This beautifully appointed home's bold architectural elements and unique design features like redwood ceilings, black slate tiles, and sliding doors that open to the east and west-facing yards are something you won't find anywhere but here. You will especially love the west-facing living room that has wood ceilings, a decorative fireplace, floor-to-ceiling glass, and easy access to the large yard and private outdoor pool that show off unparalleled views of Mt. San Jacinto. The modern and well-equipped kitchen features Danish modern style cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, and stone counters. It opens to the living and dining areas as well as the west and east yards. One of the unique treats this dog-friendly home away from home offers is that each bedroom has its own patio. Incredible, right? Another unbeatable perk is having your own washer/dryer combo at home. There will be no need to go around downtown looking for a laundromat.

You'll be located in the popular El Rancho Vista Estates neighborhood, the first of the Wexler & Harrison residential subdivisions. Developer Roy Fey, a former Chicago accountant who came to the desert and built a small real estate empire, developed this subdivision. He saw the potential Southern California Modernist architecture had in the emerging post-war housing market. His belief in the product led him to use the street name “East Avenida Fey Norte” to memorialize his involvement in the development – a not uncommon practice among residential developers. This gorgeous three-bedroom, two-bath mid-century modern home is a short three-mile drive from downtown Palm Springs restaurants and shopping, including Jake's, Cheeky's, Tropicale, El Jefe, Tinto, Workshop, and more. The residence is located in Palm Springs' El Rancho Vista Estates. Great Palm Springs House with Pool
The house was clean, well-appointed, and spacious. The pool is great. My only complaints were that there was an almost total lack of water pressure in the master shower and intermittent hot water.

Backyard is the best part of stay!
Very clean property however water pressure should be dealt with ASAP! Could not shower in master bath. Also not enough hot water in second bath for showering. For the amount of money these issues need to be corrected.

Great house, missing key amenities for a property of this kind of standing.
Let me start with what was wonderful: the house itself. Beautiful Wexler, mid-century updated with very attractive wood and black accents. The home stays fresh, welcoming during the summer months, and the master bedroom area is a lovely room to spend a few hours when it is too hot out. But please remove that silly waterproof cover on the master mattress: it makes the bed linens slippery! Large pool, nice amenities. The only gripe with the house itself is the water pressure in all showers, laughably low. The real issue comes from the lack of obvious amenities that should absolutely come with a house of this standing - and at this price. I would expect some version of a nice quality set of pool towels... not the cheap, ugly Vacasa-branded ones provided. The grill is extremely small for a home this size, and begs for an upgrade. No dish rack, very limited amount of dishware and utensils, no aluminum paper or cling wrap... this house is not for the chef in you. The beautiful Nespresso machine is a nice touch... but without pods, it is rendered useless. The previous tenants apparently broke the large window by the door right before us, and Vacasa did not offer compensation of any kind. I loved the house, but would have loved it more if it weren't a Vacasa-managed rental.

Great pool, but lacked a few amenities in the house.
We enjoyed our stay and the pool was great!The showers had no water pressure to rinse shampoo out of hair. If you want clean looking hair, you’ll have to rinse it in the sink! Not sure their was adequate water pressure for the dishwasher as the dishes never seemed to be completely clean. Living room could use additional seating if there is more than 4 people staying at the home. Pans when we arrived where dirty and worn out, however they were quickly replaced by the staff.

A lovely retreat tucked away from the crowds, yet still accessible and comfortable. Spacious for all including a lovely pool and plenty of private space to enjoy solitude.
