Reserved a beachfront kitchen room and when I checked in they put me in a room with a mini fridge and a microwave with not even a view of the beach. Shower didn’t work half the lights didn’t work. Will not be going there again. I was eventually moved to a beachfront, kitchen room but, this room was also very dated. Online pics were very deceiving

Paid extra for 2 queens with walk out. Were booked up and dis not have any. Did not have any 2 queen beds. Only had 1 queen bed. Need refund.

This property was on the beach and the two staff that were on duty when I checked out were phenomenal! However, there were roaches in our room, the sheets were dirty and when we requested new sheets at check-in they were dropped off instead of being changed by staff. The staff that checked us in charged us over $900 for a 2 night stay! This was rectified by the amazing staff upon our departure. The Expedia ad says that loungers and umbrellas are included on the beach and the cabana’s are an extra charge but this is false. All of the items on the beach are an additional charge, thankfully, we had our own tent and chairs. Needless to say, I will NEVER stay at a By the Sea Resort or Hotel again.

It was ok. We reserved a room for ocean view (second floor), was confirmed at initial reservation however, that was not the case. We ended up with a room on the first floor, which pool was near buy had to take steps down to room; which was an inconvenience as to families (as ours) was a a tad inconvenience with luggage, lifting, etc. No elevator. No remote for the TV Fridge leaked through the night into the floor (fridge was closed and on).

I liked that although they didn’t allow early check-in, we were still allowed to use the property facilities like the pool and game area. We got there about 12:30, so we stayed in the pool for a couple hours and walked to the beach easily from the back steps until our room was ready so we got much value for our one night stay. I also loved the grassed area and game area. Haven’t seen anything like that before. There was a super cute tiki bar by the pool and the staff was very friendly outside. My only complaint was the bathtub not being entirely clean, but it’s a tough job trying to get rooms ready for guests ready to check-in. So I understand. And there was also a bar missing on one of the railings over looking the pool. I have a 2 year old and he could definitely fit through it if he tried, I would get that fixed asap. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again!

Our room never got cleaned when we were there, didnt get any clean towels, even when we asked multiple times. Pool bathroom was disgusting. Bar closed like 7 everyday, and that means you cant swim in the pool. Most pools you can swim til atleast 10. That would have been nice.

We stayed in the second floor so we just had to go down two sets of stairs to get to the beach. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because the stopper in the tub wouldn’t stay up. So while we showered there was water staying in the tub. But that’s the only problem we had with the room.

Terrible customer service. I booked and paid for a neachfront room but was given a room with the view completely blocked by palm trees. The front desk lady also issued a room key to a random guy with no concern for our security or privacy. Will never book at this property again!

The room was ok but the bathroom was not clean. It needs a good cleaning and a coat of paint would make a huge difference. John was very nice at front desk. I did see they were doing some renovations and you can tell that it is an old hotel. It just needs some freshening up. Paint would do amazing to make it look better. The location is fantastic and just steps from the beach and it had a very nice swimming pool. I also did not have a fitted sheet on my bed, and the beds were not comfortable, but that’s something I just dealt with with.
