Overall the room was outdated, we had to switch rooms initially because the air conditioning wasn’t working well and there was dust on the vents causing an issue with allergies. We were moved to a new room where the air conditioning worked well but the room itself smelled moldy and the carpet was old. The bathroom shower drained slow, the toilet took a long time to flush and one of the sinks drained slow. The hotel itself was very busy and one of the elevators was out which made it very frustrating to get to our room. It also took a long time to request towels. We requested wash cloths 3 times one night and it took over an hour to receive them. The breakfast had a lot of options but was very busy so it was hard to find a table. The bar did have good drink options at reasonable prices though.

I am generally happy with our stay however after paying for late check out, reception called to remind us that check out is at 12 noon. I was not happy about this level of inefficiency. Overall , we had an enjoyable stay . This is our 3 rd visit to Riu Plaza.
